CC Dyer: Her Life before and after She Became Geraldo Rivera's Ex-wife
C. C. Dyer and her ex-husband's relationship was filled with ups and downs, including their difficulty starting a family. However, after over ten years of marriage, the couple eventually decided to call it quits.
Cynthia Crookshank Dyer, popularly known as C. C. Dyer, met her ex-husband when she was a young producer from Marion, Massachusetts. And at the time, Geraldo Rivera was still married when the former couple fell in love after meeting at work.
However, despite being in love, her mother revealed that C. C. Dyer was "hurt plenty" during the beginning stages of her relationship. Following her divorce, she has led a life out of the public eye, and little is known about her love life. On the other hand, her ex-husband found love again with someone thirty years his junior.

C. C. Dyer Was Geraldo Rivera's Fourth Wife
Dyer was working at 20/20 when she met and fell in love with Rivera, who had left ABC in 1985 after 15 years. However, he was still in his third marriage when they met. Dyer's mother revealed:
"I thought it was leading to something, so I told her, 'Don't get involved with a man who's still married.' She was hurt plenty during their courtship, but C.C. didn't come crying around or see a therapist. She handled it. She has a great bravado and strength equal to him. So she can handle him."

C. C. Dyer Had Trouble Conceiving
After tying the knot, Dyer and her ex-husband began trying for a baby. However, her former mother-in-law revealed, "They've had hardships because of wanting to have a baby." According to Dyer's former in-law, her brothers and sisters—including her sister Nancy Dyer Mitton, an artist—"breed like rabbits." Also, her mother had no trouble falling pregnant either.
Fortunately, Dyer was blessed with two daughters, Isabella and Simone. After becoming a mom, she continued working, and her ex-husband bought a newspaper near their home so she would not have to commute.

C. C. Dyer's Life Following Her Divorce
In 1999, Dyer and Rivera went their separate ways after 13 years of marriage and 19 years of living together. And according to the Fox News host, it took a toll on their daughters. Rivera said:
"My girls were still traumatized by my breakup with their mom..."
Despite their separation, Dyer and her ex-husband continued working together at the newspaper he had bought. During their marriage, the couple relocated from Manhattan to New Jersey, and with the support of her friends, Dyer moved back to the city and bought a four-story home on East 93rd Street for over $8 million.

"I was saying, 'We gotta get her to the city.' Who wants to be a divorced woman with two kids living in the suburbs," Dyer's friend, Susie Hayes, said.
Since her divorce, Dyer has kept a low profile. One of her recent news appearances came in 2015 when she joined her daughter, who opened up about her experience during a terrorist attack in Paris.
And while little is known about her love life, Dyer's ex-husband, who had been named Senior Correspondent and working with well-known commentators such as Jesse Watters, moved on to his fifth wife in 2003.
