Paul McCartney’s Rare Outing with Low-Key Wife Years after Tough Divorce from Ex Who Sought $250M
- 81-year-old Paul McCartney lives a private life with his wife and family.
- He went through a difficult divorce before he found love late in life.
- McCartney has now found bliss with his new wife, and they cherish their life together.
Paul McCartney is well-known for being one of the members of the world-famous rock band The Beatles. The foursome was famous in the 1960s and 1970s and became household names with songs like "Let It Be," "Hey Jude," and "Here Comes the Sun."
They disbanded in 1970 when McCartney announced in April that he would no longer be part of the band. However, the band's dissolution was only finalized in 1974, and since then, McCartney has been a solo act.

While he enjoyed immense fame during his years with The Beatles and beyond, his existence is much quieter now as he enjoys a private life with his wife and his children. He has recently shared photos of his life now.
McCartney took to Instagram to share photos of himself, his wife, friends, and family at an event he hosted to celebrate the opening of his exhibition called "Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm."
The event was held at the National Portrait Gallery in London and McCartney also shared photos with most of the people who had come to support him. The exhibition runs until October 1 this year and opens to the public tomorrow.
One of the people in attendance at the show was McCartney's son, James. James' siblings, Mary and Stella, also tagged along to see their father's exhibition. McCartney's wife, Nancy, was there too, along with Ronnie Wood and his wife, Sally.
The Truth about McCartney and His Ex-wife's Messy Divorce
McCartney has not been lucky in love during his life. He has been married three times, with his first being the longest so far. McCartney was first married to Linda McCartney, then to Heather Mills, and now to Nancy Shevell.

The rock star shares his four eldest children with his first wife. When he married his second wife, Mills, his children disapproved of the marriage because they did not believe that she was good for their father.
When McCartney and Mills split, the children were far more satisfied with his choice of a new partner, now his current wife, Nancy. It took McCartney a while to find such bliss in his life.
In 2008, McCartney's divorce from Mills was finalized, but it cost the rock star a pretty penny. He was made to pay Mills a whopping $48.6 million, but that was only a fraction of what she had initially requested.

Mills had initially asked for $250 million, but they settled on her receiving a $33 million lump sum and the $15.6 million she already held in assets. The couple also shares a daughter, who was four then, and McCartney is paying $70,000 per annum to support her.
Mills admitted she was extremely happy with the ruling and openly shared:
"It was an incredible result in the end to secure mine and my daughter's future and that of all the charities that I obviously plan on helping and making a difference with."

While Mills spoke freely about the divorce proceedings and was overjoyed that it was finally over, McCartney left the court without comment the day his divorce from Mills was finalized.
As the divorce proceedings unfolded, there was much media coverage on the couple, with news outlets giving Mills inventive but insulting nicknames that painted her as a golddigger—such as "Lady liar"—and an inappropriate partner for McCartney.
Although Mills was emphatic about the fact that she would be sharing the fortune she earned in her divorce, it was later reported that she had apparently not donated a single cent of her divorce settlement to Adopt-A-Minefield as she had promised to do.

A source close to the organization, who was waiting for the funds that Mills had publicly promised them, said:
"They have waited in vain for their millions. She's had plenty of time, but sadly it's yet another untruth by the queen of lies."

Mills claimed that 80% of her income went to charity each year. Still, when confronted with this information, her former publicist shared that they also believed her to be a pathological liar.
How Did McCartney Find True Love with Nancy Despite the Age Gap?
After his nasty divorce from Mills, McCartney remained shy of matters of the heart for a while. Yet in April 2009, he was spotted out with Nancy Shevell.

Fans noted that although the couple seemed happy with one another, the accurate indication that the couple was on good terms was the fact that McCartney's children appeared to have a good relationship with Shevell, too.
In March 2009, Shevell and McCartney's daughter, Stella, were seen hugging at the annual Natural Resources Defense Council gala in New York. The pair also linked arms and laughed together during the dinner. Stella was said to be "thrilled" for her father and Shevell.
A source confirmed that the couple, who share a 17-year age gap, are well-matched. The source said that Shevell is very much like McCartney's first wife, who passed away in April 1998, leaving McCartney and their children behind.
Shevell was said to spend a lot of time with McCartney's children backstage at McCartney's shows and going to Stella's fashion shows and supporting their careers throughout.
As for the daughter that McCartney shares with Mills, the source confirmed that even she is fond of McCartney's new wife and that each family member gets along well with Shevell, who ensures she makes an effort with them.
