Is Dua Lipa Gay? The LGBTQ Supporter Never Speaks about Her Sexual Orientation and Has Only Dated Men

Dua Lipa has sparked speculations about her sexual orientation despite having dated men. However, the music star greatly supports the LGBTQ community despite not discussing her sexual orientation.

Beloved fans of talented singer-songwriter Dua Lipa have questioned her sexuality, as some wonder whether she is gay, bisexual, or lesbian. However, she has remained mum about her sexual orientation.

Despite not discussing her sexual orientation, Dua Lipa is a committed supporter of the LGBTQ community. She has supported them over the years on social media and onstage.

In June 2020, the English Albanian native celebrated pride month and commemorated the occasion on her Instagram. She posted a photo holding a rainbow flag while posing with fans and wrote:

"June is Pride month for the LGBTQ community. We must come together to secure the safety of black LGBTQ people in jail and immigration detention."

Lipa also showed her support while performing on stage in March 2022. In the video, posted by a fan on TikTok, another fan gave her the rainbow flag, and she waved it and walked toward one of her dancers, and placed it on her shoulders. "Gay queen," the fan captioned the post.

The "New Rules" hitmaker did something similar in June of that year. She belted out her song "Cold Heart" PNAU Remix onstage, in which she features Elton John.

Dua Lipa stood between her two dancers, holding the rainbow flag. "In honor of Pride Month," wrote a fan who posted the clip on TikTok. She performed with the flag in hand in June 2021. The pop star's music video, "Blow Your Mind" (Mwah), featured an LGBTQ Pride flag. She once said:

"Artists should really use their power and presence on social media to just put it out there and show support."

Netizens Discuss Dua Lipa's Sexual Orientation Online

While continually supporting the gay community, online users have discussed Lipa's sexuality on multiple online platforms. A question was posed on Quora, asking if the "New Love" singer is bisexual.

A journalist answered the question, stating, "I Don't think so, but everything is possible. Until now, she had not said anything about this on social media or interviews on TV and internet."

While one person claimed Lipa is not bisexual on the platform. Another answered a question about whether the 27-year-old is a lesbian. "No, she is bisexual," the user alleged.

One more question about whether Lipa is lesbian was asked on Quora while referencing her song "IDGAF," and someone responded: "She always uses him or he in her songs. […] BTW she is not Bi."

In December 2022, filmmaker David Furnish posted a group photo featuring Lipa, his legendary pianist John, and some of the cast members from the drama series, "Heartstopper," revealing they had just had an epic dinner.

The same picture was shared on a fan account on Twitter with a caption that read: "Dua Lipa out to dinner with Elton John, David Furnish, Andrew Watt, Kit Connor, Sebastian Croft, Sam Fender, Jake Shears, and William Gao!"

Twitter users tweeted about the abovementioned post, and many expressed concern about Lipa's presence among all the gay men in the room. "Blink twice if you're in danger, girl," one person tweeted on the platform. While another social media user cautioned Lipa, writing, "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE DUA."

When Lipa graced the cover of Attitude magazine for the December issue in 2020, she reiterated her stance on supporting the gay community, saying:

"It's entirely a right to be able to love who you want, not just because I have friends in the LGBTQ community, but because we're all human and we deserve it. It's something I feel very connected to and will continue to fight for."

Dua Lipa Has Only Been Linked to Famous Men in the Past

Amid conversations surrounding her sexuality, Dua Lipa has only dated men who are also famous. The London native's first public relationship was with British model and chef Isaac Carew.

The pair first met and started dating in 2015. However, they amicably parted ways in February 2017 after dating on and off for four years. Later that year, Lipa began dating model and singer Paul Klein. The two were an item for five months before they broke up in January 2018.

Lipa's longest public relationship was with Anwar Hadid, Gigi, and Bella Hadid's brother. The duo was first seen getting cozy at Gigi's birthday in Malibu, California, in June 2019. But they split after two and a half years together in December 2021.

She is now dating French filmmaker Romain Gavras, who previously dated Rita Ora for six months. Lipa and Gavras made their relationship public at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023.
