On July 12, 2023, Cheryl Ladd felt special when her daughters, Jordan Ladd and Lindsay Walker (also known as Lindsay Russell), took to their respective Instagram accounts to wish her well on her 72nd birthday. Jordan uploaded three throwback photos, one showing her as a newborn baby cradled gently in her mother's arms while being fed a bottle.

Another one was of the pair at an event that might've been a wedding, looking like they were about to share a kiss. The last image in the carousel was of the family, including Cheryl's second and current husband, Brian Russell, celebrating one of the actress's birthdays with a cake.

The star's daughter lovingly wrote, "Happy Birthday to the 1st person I've ever met." Lindsay uploaded a collage that showed her with the actress, and one of the pictures was of her standing between her parents, while the main one was of the birthday girl. In the caption, she wrote that some mothers were acquired by birth while others "by blessing," before adding:

In a hashtag, the celebrity's child touchingly noted how heaven is missing an angel. Cheryl's first husband was Jordan's father, David Ladd, who she divorced in 1980 before marrying Lindsay's father, Brian, the following year.

The star managed to blend her family, although she did confess that it wasn't easy. The mother of two admitted that mistakes were made but felt they were worth the trouble because one eventually received many gifts like welcoming grandchildren.

When speaking about being an empty nester when her daughters left home, she confessed to being a "little bipolar" about it. She revealed her struggles with the challenging transition, which saw her crying on her bed, before saying to herself:

"I miss the girls!"

However, the exciting part about having the home to herself and her husband was that they ran around naked! Cheryl Ladd accepts her second husband's daughter as her own, and Lindsay is thrilled to have her as a secondary parent.

Who Are Cheryl's Daughters?

Jordan was welcomed two years after her parents married in 1973. Having celebrity parents led their only child and daughter to start being interested in films and fell in love with them from a very young age.

With her father being a film producer and her mother an actress, she once noted how growing up with a family in the entertainment industry strengthened her creativity, and she later became an actor herself.

In a 2010 interview, Cheryl's daughter revealed how she used play or songwriting to escape her troubles. The star had always loved filmmaking and movies but had never warmed up to being a Broadway actress.

The "Never Been Kissed" actress appeared alongside her mother in 2018's "The Christmas Contract," with Cheryl confessing that it was the most time they'd spent together since Jordan left her home. The legendary star revealed how they had adult conversations and were "great friends."

Gushing over her daughter, the actress said her child with David wasn't like anyone else and made her laugh. She once shared how "lovely" it was to have an adult daughter at her age, that Jordan would remain her baby.

The actress also noted how her daughter was her best friend and that they were crazy about each other. Her daughter tied the knot with Conor O'Neill in 2001, but they divorced four years later without any children.

However, Cheryl became a three times a grandmother through her stepdaughter Lindsay. In June 2022, the iconic star, while talking about her daughters, said:

"My other daughter is Lindsay. I've been her stepmom, or 'bonus mom,' as she calls me, since she was 4."

Jordan's mother wasn't the only one who got along well with Lindsay, as seen on her biological daughter's February 27, 2023, Instagram post. At the time, David's daughter shared a fun photo of her posing with her stepsister, writing:

"Sissies. I'm so glad you're mine."

The "Unforgettable" star's music producer husband welcomed Lindsay with his ex-wife, Brenda. When Brian and the actress got together, they chose not to have children because they felt Jordan struggled with feeling disloyal to her father.

Cheryl's stepgrandchildren are Nehemiah, Judah, and Kailah.

After leading them to blend their families, Cheryl and her second husband wanted children but wondered if adding another child would affect the feelings of security of their daughters. Uncertain about how a new child would affect Jordan and Lindsay, the couple accepted a childless marriage.

Brian and his wife's marriage has been going strong. In 2022, she shared the secret of their wholesome union. The actress revealed that one of the things that made them happy was that they began their relationship as friends.

Other things that strengthened their marriage are that they were both creatives, still "madly in love," and remain good friends. Cheryl also looked up to her husband due to his talent and noted his books' excellence, including his most recent one, "The Marble Sea."

Luckily, the couple did what they loved and understood the other's space and time needs. However, when Cheryl wasn't focused on her incredible daughters and an equally fantastic husband, she was gushing over her grandchildren.

What Did Cheryl Say about Being a Grandmother?

The "Charlie's Angels" star had been married to Brian for decades, and tying the knot with him allowed her to be blessed with grandchildren. In a 2018 interview, Cheryl addressed the joys of being a grandmother, stating:

"I now have three grandchildren because she has kids, and I love being a grandmother!"

Cheryl's stepgrandchildren are Nehemiah, Judah, and Kailah. In the birthday collage image that Lindsay had created to celebrate the actress's birthday, the star was seen posing lovingly with some of her grandchildren.
