Tasha Smith is an American actress who starred in "Why Did I Get Married" and the sequel and "For Better or For Worse." She married Keith Douglas in December 2010 and separated until 2015, when a judge granted her an annulment after going through months of trouble.

Keith Douglas allegedly lived a double life or at least lied about his past to the actress. She couldn't take it and took matters to court. Their separation turned ugly and saddening, considering she was ready to become a mother.

Tasha Divorced Her Husband After Fraud

Tasha, who has starred in films alongside Tyler Perry, Janet Jackson, and Michelle Buteau, ended her marriage with Keith, also known as Rory Douglas, after a judge granted her annulment request. Her ex was accused of fraud and lying about the number of children he had.

He also had kept other secrets from Tasha, including his shady business dealings and criminal record. A year before they went to court, the actress took out a restraining order against him. But even after a judge declared their marriage nonexistent, Keith wasn't ready to give up.

On Twitter, her ex accused her of several things and posted an open letter about his innocence. In court, Tasha said that Keith never told her about the five women he had married before. He only told her about being a preacher and a man of faith.

Despite the judge's order, Keith's now-deleted tweets stated that God was the only one who could judge him. The open letter suggested that Tasha was working with the devil, and even though he loved her deeply, he found himself sleeping with the enemy.

Tasha Smith's former husband said he would pray for her and let her go because God wanted that. Meanwhile, the actress only retweeted her fans' kind words, choosing not to respond to him at the time.

Tasha Smith Wanted to Be a Mother

During an interview with Wendy Williams in 2013, the actress gushed about being ready to conceive. She was already tracking her ovulating days due to being 42 then.

Tasha didn't have kids then, but she was a stepmother to her former husband's five children. Instead of referring to them as "stepkids," she called them "bonus kids." Furthermore, she shared that they didn't have drama within their family and that even the kids' mothers were invited to Thanksgiving.

The Separation Got Complicated

Before they officially annulled their marriage, Keith took a temporary restraining order against Tasha in 2014, claiming she would fly into rages after drinking too much. The order was granted, and the actress had to stay two yards away from him, although they lived in the same house.

His claims stated that Tasha came home after four days away and threatened him unless he left their house. She allegedly got physical, but he hid in a bathroom and called the police, who advised him to get a restraining order.

Keith also said she closed all their shared accounts, leaving him without money. However, sources told outlets that Tasha had no alcohol issues, and the claims were "ridiculous."

The actress was later ordered to pay $7,000 a month in spousal support, but that was months before she had the marriage officially annulled. The actress has moved on and is set to star in Will Smith and Martin Lawrence's upcoming "Bad Boys" sequel.
