Sophia wrote, "I have a dream that one day we will live in a world where the cost of living crisis stops, and everything is free, and nobody struggles with not being able to eat."

Sophia's wish was triggered after she noticed that her mother, Heather, skipped meals so she and her three other siblings could have enough to eat.

When Stewart read her story and saw the picture of Sophia's letter, he was immediately touched. The singer expressed, "When I read this story in the Record and saw the letter Heather's daughter wrote, it broke my heart," then added, "I simply had to find a way to help."

The "Sailing” singer donated £2500 to help Sophia's mother and her four children. Heather was shocked and overjoyed by Stewart's kind gesture and said the singer brought her daughter's dream to life.

With the extra money to help her family and being on the list for a bigger house, Heather was happy not to be cramped in a small space anymore and not worry about her kids' next meal.
