Cheyenne Jackson's Spouse: Inside the Actor's Beautiful Romance with Jason Landau & His First Marriage
After over a decade together, Сheyenne Jackson revealed that it was a sad time when he and his first husband "mutually decided to divorce." However, the Broadway star found love again with his spouse Jason Landau, following an out-of-the-norm meet-cute.
After same-sex marriage was legalized, actor, singer, and performer Cheyenne Jackson and his longtime partner, Monte Lapka, officially became husbands in New York. However, the actor had nothing but kind words for his former spouse when he revealed that it was an amicable decision to part ways.
Less than a year after his divorce, the "Glee" star proved he was ready to make another trip down the altar as a source revealed that Cheyenne Jackson and fellow actor Jason Landau were engaged.

Сheyenne Jackson and His First Husband Tied the Knot after 11 Years Together
In September 2011, Jackson and Lapka, a physicist, said "I do" in front of their guests during a beach wedding ceremony in the Hamptons, one day before Jackson had to go on tour.
The newlywed turned to Twitter to share the exciting news, revealing that he had married "the best man" he had ever known. Before same-sex marriage was legalized in New York, Jackson opened up about his dream wedding and shared:
"My dream wedding involves just close friends and good music…Our dog would be there. Our dog, our daughter, Zora...Pretty boring, but something just nice and on the beach."

Cheyenne Jackson on His Divorce
In 2013, after 11 years together and two years of marriage, Jackson's rep confirmed that he and Lapka parted ways. "Cheyenne Jackson and his husband, Monte Lapka, have mutually decided to divorce [...]. It is an amicable parting and, understandably, a private matter," Jackson's rep said.
In early February 2014, a source broke the news of Jackson and Landau's engagement and that the couple was already planning their wedding.
The "Call Me Cat" — co-starring Leslie Jordan, Mayim Bialik, and Swoosie Kurtz — star later opened up about his divorce and revealed that he had seen the circulating rumors about his split.

Jackson added that while the rumors that he had "gone off the deep end" following his split, shaved his head, grown a mustache, and gotten a tattoo were untrue, seeing and hearing about the speculation was still an unpleasant experience. The actor added:
"It's a sad thing anytime a relationship ends. We had a good, long run, almost 13 years. It was mutual. It was amicable. He's [Lapka] a wonderful man. It's a sad, personal thing."
Сheyenne Jackson Found Love Again with Jason Landau & They Met in Rehab
In early February 2014, there was news of Jackson and Landau's engagement, and the couple was already planning their wedding. The news came only six months after Jackon's marriage to Lapka had ended and four months after the couple had made their relationship public.
Landau is an entrepreneur with a few acting credits, including landing a small role alongside Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally, and Sean Hayes in "Will and Grace." The couple met in 2013 while in rehab for alcohol addiction and officially became newlyweds in September 2014.

Landau and the "30 Rock" actor tied the knot in front of 200 guests — including famous actors Jane Lynch, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Leah Remini, and Alicia Silverstone — outdoors at a friend's estate in Encino, California, during an interfaith ceremony as Landau is Jewish.
The actor and his husband combined the beauty of nature with a touch of elegance for their special day, and while Jackson opted for a black Calvin Klein tux, Landau rocked an outfit from John Varvatos. Jacksons said:
"We've both been through a lot in our lives. We got sober together. Now we sing, and we dance together. It blows my mind."

Cheyenne Jackon and His Husband Often Share Glimpses of Their Loving Marriage
In 2021, Landau took a trip down memory lane and shared a throwback of him and Jackson on their honeymoon in honor of their seventh anniversary.
"It has been fun, exhilarating, painful, deep, and the most love I've ever known. Thanks for loving me as you do and for being the best husband I could have ever dreamed up," he captioned the post in part.
In July 2022, Jackson shared a picture of him and his spouse catching a few rays in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Landau followed it with a heartfelt message dedicated to his husband on Valentine's Day this year.
"I have never known love like this," Landau sweetly shared. And on July 6, Jackson's husband shared a romantic picture of them kissing in the street.
Сheyenne Jackson and His Second Husband Are Proud Parents to Two Kids
In October 2016, Jackson and his husband experienced the "best" day of their lives when their twins, Willow and Ethan, arrived. Jackson took to Instagram to share a side-by-side collage of them as first-time dads giving some love to their newborn twins.
And the bundles of joy have since been regulars on their dads' social media. In January 2022, Jackson proved his twins were all grown up as the actor and his kids enjoyed a pool day, and the following month, the family of four posed for a picture as Jackson documented his weekend with his "three favorite people."
In August 2022, Jackson was one proud dad. He shared an adorable video of Ethan and Willow proving they had inherited their famous dad's singing gene, followed by another beautiful family picture. And in June, Jackson celebrated his spouse in honor of Father's Day with three photos of the family of four's Halloween costumes.
Although the doting dads often shared moments where they basked in parenthood, the couple also enjoyed some time alone. In 2021, Jackson posted a snap of him and Landau on their "first dads weekend away from the kids in ages." The actor shared:
"Free advice. Marry your best friend. It makes the hard stuff easier. Also take two days away from the kids to finish all the conversations you never get to throughout the year."

From as young as seven, Jackson always knew he wanted to be a dad, and since welcoming children, the actor revealed that there are no words to describe his love for his family. "I miss them when I'm with them," Jackson said.
The actor also shared that Willow was five when she learned what it meant to be gay, but her parents tried not to make "an issue" of their sexuality. "But now that they're in school, they have two other kids in their class that have, you know, two mommies, and one has two dads. It's just a different world," the actor shared.
And between his career, their children, and running a production company together, Jackson added that he and Landau put in the necessary hard work to have a long-lasting marriage.
