The video starts with a picture of a beautifully designed digital card with words printed on the front expressing what year 9 symbolizes for the happy couple. Following the picture of the card, videos of the couple's romantic getaway appear on the screen. The first video shows Barrino holding up two cards, each with the name of a destination written on them. Taylor picks the card on Barrino's left, which said that the couple would be headed to Miami to celebrate.

The montage then cuts to Barrino and Taylor seated on the airplane taking them on their voyage. After arriving in Miami, the couple started their day with a fancy lunch before the video cuts to another card-picking game.

Again, Barrino presents Taylor with two cards to determine how they would celebrate next. Following a fancy dessert, Taylor and his wife enjoyed a relaxing night cruise on a yacht to end their perfect day.

Fantasia Barrino on Submitting to Her Husband

Barrino may be a fierce and independent woman who knows exactly what she wants, but when it comes to her role as a married woman, the "Free Yourself" singer has strong views about how women should conduct themselves in marriage. In a 2019 interview, she spoke about her views on gender roles in a marriage.

Barrino maintains that all women are queens and should be treated as such in their relationships. However, she says that the queen mentality should be done with respect, recognizing that the man is the leader in the relationship and the head of the household.

While still showing respect for the power women have in their relationships, the artist expressed that there are too many women in society who are not willing to yield to their husbands. Barrino voiced:

"We need more men to stand up and lead the way. Most women are trying to be the leader; that's why you can't find a man. You can't be the king in the house; fall back and be the queen and let your man lead the way."

When asked to further clarify what she meant by her statement in an effort to soothe the women who don't believe in yielding to their husbands or giving up their leadership abilities, the musician explained that the unyielding mindset is the reason why many husbands and wives get into arguments and bump heads all the time.

Barrino believes the fight against the submissive route has a lot to do with generational differences. As a result of society changing with the times, in many cases, women have had to step up and take on both mother and father roles at times. But for Fantasia, women "have to learn how to submit."

Though some may not agree with how Barrino views her role as a wife, it appears to work for her relationship with Taylor as they get closer to celebrating a decade of love and marital bliss.

To end off on a positive note, Barrino clarifies that her assertions do not mean the women's role as the queen of her castle becomes redundant. In fact, she stipulated that the king very much so relies on his queen to be able to grant him foresight for the things he is not able to see coming himself.

Barrino's husband shares her views on gender dynamics within a relationship. Taylor's belief in having a wife that performs wifely duties, such as getting dressed up for their men and only saving certain versions of themselves for their husbands, came out in his birthday tribute to Barrino this year:

"It's your birthday yet, knowing that I have you solely to myself and I experience a version of You that no other man ever has or will, kinda feels like I'm the one getting the best gift today!"
