Gallen and Troyer tied the knot in 2004. However, he disputed their marriage. Subsequently, she circulated a copy of their marriage license, which proved they were legally married. The pair had their marriage annulled in March of that year.

Genevieve Gallen Was Snubbed from Appearing on Verne Troyer's Reality Show

According to television producer Mark Cronin, things went awry between Gallen and Troyer after he sold an idea for a reality show, "Life Is Too Short," centered on the film star, his manager, and her husband.

In 2005, Cronin claimed that Gallen felt she would be snubbed from the TV show, so she "forced" Troyer to marry her in a rushed and secretive ceremony. She reportedly showed off her wedding band in his face and informed him that she would now be a part of the show.

In addition, Gallen reportedly "demanded" producer credit and being the costume designer for the project. However, she denied doing any of this while revealing that it was Cronin who suggested she and Troyer get an annulment under the guise that it was in the best interest of his career.
