'We Have to See the Back': 'The Witcher' Star Royce Pierreson Shows New Haircut He Did Himself
Royce Pierreson served lockdown realness with his DIY hairdo on Thursday, which impressed one of "The Witcher's" hair and makeup team members.
"First time cutting my own hair in a while ✂ you don't need to see the back [smiling emoji with cold sweat]," Royce Pierreson wrote on July 20, 2023.
"Now we HAVE to see the back; looks good, btw," one fan insisted. "Slay," another agreed, with a third writing, "Nice cut, bro, bless." "LOOKING AMAZING," an Instagram user said.
"Might as well add barber to your resume very impressive," London hairdresser and makeup artist Paige Cole commented. Cole is part of "The Witcher's" main hair and makeup department.
"Thank goodness the hair is gone," one wrote in approval. The actor has been sporting wavy chin-length tresses in the third season part one of the fantasy show, which stars Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, with Joey Batey.

Royce Pierreson Became The 'Fire-Putter-Outer' for Scene Partner On 'The Witcher'
In the fantasy based on Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski's works, many elements are added in post-production, but quite a few of the features, such as the open flames, are very real.
In the third season, Pierreson had more scenes with Anna Schaffer, who portrays the mage Triss Merigold. Their characters come to trust one another, which might have been helped along by the actor's tendency to be her "fire-putter-outer," he explained:
"Her hair is huge! And she's constantly walking near flames. I saved her a few times, definitely."

Described as a "national treasure" by a UK newspaper, the six-foot-three star started in the entertainment industry in the 2011 TV movie "London's Burning."
Pierreson became a familiar face with the British public in shows like "Misfits," "Line of Duty" "Midsomer Murders," and the true-life TV movie "Murdered by My Boyfriend."

The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama alum got one of his first taste of international fame with small parts in "Thor: The Dark World" in 2013, Renée Zellweger's "Judy," and as Jason Hales in the Tony Collette-led Netflix series "Wanderlust" in 2018.
Not familiar with the source material, Royce Pierreson had no idea how popular his next Netflix project, "The Witcher," would be. "I didn't know what was going to happen when it was about to drop, " he admitted at the premier in 2023. Next, he stars in "On the Line."
