On July 23, 2023, Elon shared a short video of an "X" while fading to the bird logo and back to the "X" symbol, indicating the Twitter revamp. The following day, he shared a snap of the Twitter headquarters with the new logo on the building's facade.

After noting the social media platform's new design, some celebrities shared their thoughts on Twitter. "Since I haven't released music in 5 years and [Twitter] pays you now, I am ready to accept my destiny as [Twitter] supreme again," American rapper Lil Nas X wrote. Meanwhile, Ice T said:

"So this app is not just X?? So THIS is an X and not a Tweet?"

Highly acclaimed American writer Stephen King commented on the change, writing, "It will always be Twitter to me." Two children's television shows also took to share their thoughts, including "Elmo," who had questions about the changes. "Sesame Street" also tweeted, "The letter X will be holding a press conference later today."

Elon Musk Previously Made Changes on Twitter

In April 2023, Musk removed Twitter's blue check marks on accounts verified before his management. However, they may be restored if account owners subscribe to Twitter Blue for an $8 subscription fee.

Besides having the verification mark, those subscribed may use certain Twitter features, such as the two-step authentication safety net, among others. Since purchasing Twitter, Musk has wanted to make changes and end old practices in an attempt to increase revenue.

Prominent Figures React to Their Restored Verification Mark

Since implementing the subscription fee, some users claimed they never subscribed, including actor Ben Schwartz, New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who still had the verification mark.

Times columnist Paul Krugman also said he is not paying for a subscription but received the blue verification mark. Musk then replied to him with a photo of a crying baby.

The businessman personally covered the payment for several high-profile users, such as William Shatner, Stephen King, and LeBron James.

Interestingly, Twitter accounts of figures who died years ago had their verification marks reappear, indicating that they subscribed to Twitter Blue. Such users include chef Anthony Bourdain, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, and singer Chester Bennington.

Elon Musk is a billionaire, famously known as Tesla's CEO. However, like all other wealthy businessmen, he is also a loving father to his children. He became a father in 2002, two years after he and Justine Wilson tied the knot. Tragically, ten weeks after Nevada Alexander Musk's birth, he passed away.

Musk and Justine Wilson later welcomed twins Griffin and Vivian Musk, through IVF treatment. In 2006, the couple had triplets Kai Musk, Damien, and Saxon Musk. However, two years later, the pair called it quits.

In 2020, Musk revealed he had welcomed a son with Grimes, whose birth name is Claire Elise Boucher. When a curious fan asked for his newborn's name, Elon proudly answered X Æ A-12 Musk.

Grimes later explained the meaning behind their son's name, noting that "X" represented an unknown variable. Meanwhile, "Æ" is the Elven spelling of AI (Artificial Intelligence.)
