Reality star Todd Chrisley is best known for being family oriented. This was evident on the USA Network reality television show, "Chrisley Knows Best."

The series followed his family, including his wife, children, and his mother, Faye Chrisley. Todd has been married twice and shares five children with two different women.

The television personality's eldest kids are daughter Lindsie and son Kyle Chrisley whom he welcomed with his first wife, Teresa Terry. Todd later had three more children: Chase, Grayson, and daughter Savannah, with his second wife and co-star, Julie Chrisley.

Over the years, the Chrisleys have faced controversies, but the family patriarch always put fatherhood first. In a 2014 interview, he said: "It’s always hard when you have uncomfortable, unfortunate situations occur in your life. But the family is all good, we’re all very blessed."

Todd & Julie Were Convicted of Fraud

Despite being a happy family, things fell apart when Todd and Julie were convicted on fraud charges in 2022 involving a conspiracy to defraud banks for more than $30 million in loans.

The couple and their accountant, Peter Tarantino, were also found guilty of several tax crimes and were jailed as a result. Their daughter, Savannah, and son Chase have revealed the conditions they were currently enduring while in prison.

In a recent episode of Savannah's podcast, "Unlocked w/Savannah Chrisley," the siblings talked about how their famous parents have been holding up since they started their prison sentences.

"It's a nightmare," said Chase, who recently visited his father. He said there is "no air conditioning" where his mom and dad are imprisoned. In another podcast, "Chasin' Birdies," he admitted that his mother's living conditions were "worse."

Meanwhile, his sister revealed there are issues with asbestos, black mold, and lead-based paint, where their parents serve their sentences. Overall, they described the conditions as inhumane.

Todd is serving a 12-year sentence at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) in Pensacola, Florida, while his spouse Julie was sentenced to seven years. The mother of three was sent to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Lexington in Lexington, Kentucky.

In addition to their sentencing, the television stars were ordered by Judge Eleanor Ross of the US District Court in Atlanta to cough up $17.2 million in restitution to their $36 million fraud scheme.

Per insiders, the two would need to sell their two Nashville, Tennessee homes worth $9 million to pay off the fine. A source claimed Todd and Julie could not "afford it."

Todd & Julie Are 650 Miles Apart – Their Daughter Is Fighting for "Justice"

Todd and Julie have not communicated since starting their prison sentences over six months ago. Their child Savannah revealed this on her Instagram Story alongside throwback pictures of them together, writing:

"195 days without a word to each other... My heart is breaking."

The television personality also asked her 2.7 million social media followers for "help to bring justice" for her parents and included a link to their legal defense website.

Julie and Todd are serving a combined 19 years in jail for bank fraud and tax evasion and are hundreds of miles away from each other. Their sentences began in January 2023.
