Although Khalid has not openly declared his sexual orientation, he considers himself a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and an ally. He highlighted the group in a past interview as he said:

"America today feels like a scary place for many people, people of color, DREAMERS, women, the LGBTQ community. It's the young people of America, the teens, who have the power to create change."

The interview came after Khalid was named by the magazine as one of the most influential teens, alongside young celebrities like Willow Smith, Brooklyn Beckham, Yara Shahidi, and Millie Bobby Brown.

Khalid's impressive collaboration with Normani sparked speculation among netizens about their potential romance. One fan took to Twitter to question if both musicians are dating.
