'Angus Was a Sunshine': Hunter Schafer Struggled to Find Words Mourning the Loss of Angus Cloud

Another of Angus Cloud's "Euphoria" cast mates, Hunter Schafer, wrote a heart-wrenching tribute to the actor who died on Monday.

"Been trying to figure out what to say, but idk if any combination of words can articulate all of the big feelings [sic]," Hunter Schafer posted on August 2, 2023. "For now, I just wanna say: Angus was a sunshine [sic]."

"To have known his warmth, his light, and his love was nothing short of a gift," she continued. "I'm so grateful to have shared so many enormous fits of laughter, so many sweet moments, and the joy of getting to make something together that we loved so much."

"I love you, Angus 💗 Thank you for everything," the actress who portrays Jules Vaughn in "Euphoria," wrote in conclusion. "My heart goes out to his family and all of his loved ones right now."

The Instagram post features a photo of the actor holding a coffee cup. Cloud and Hunter Schafer stood next to each other at the season one premiere in mid-2019. They posed for a goofy shot with Sam Levinson and Zendaya at a photo call last year.

Cloud's family confirmed that the actor who starred as Fezco O'Neill in the HBO teen drama died in the family home on Monday, July 31, in Oakland, California. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

"We did our season 1 promo together and got a chance to really chop it up," Nika King wrote in a post on Tuesday that she pinned. "One of the most genuine, laid back, beautiful spirits in this crazy industry… and that magnetic smile."

"I'm so thankful to have met you and hear your wild stories about Oakland. You are loved and missed, my friend [Angus Cloud]🕊️ 🕊️," she added. King plays Leslie Bennett, the mother of Zendaya and Storm Reid's Rue and Gia.

"And that was his smile. That was him. May he rest sweetly in peace," Colman Domingo captioned a photo of a beaming Angus Cloud as he took a super selfie of the cast at a photo call in January 2022.

Cloud's on-screen sibling, Javon Walton, shared a photo of them embracing. "Rest easy, brother ❤️🕊️," he wrote. The last season of "Euphoria" ended with a cliffhanger where the authorities raided Fezco.
