Javon Walton's Close-Knit Family - From Being Coached by Dad to Brother Starring with Him on 'Euphoria'

Javon Walton's family has given him all-out support as he pursues Hollywood and boxing fame. Interestingly, one of his siblings aided him in his groundbreaking role in a critically acclaimed TV series.

Actor Javon "Wanna" Walton gained prominence playing the role of Ashtray in the acclaimed HBO series "Euphoria." As he became a household name, fans wondered about the story behind his quirky nickname.

Javon's parents gave him the nickname because he "wanna" do a lot when he grows up. They have been instrumental to him as he embarks on his acting and boxing career. The teen's three siblings have been nothing but encouraging to him.

Javon Walton's Father Trains and Manages Him

Born and raised in New York and in South Florida, DJ Walton is the founder of the sports brand company Onward Athletics in Buford, Georgia. He graduated with a communications and public relations degree from Jacksonville University in 2002.

DJ is also an actor who first debuted his skills in the action film "Creed II." He went on to star in more movies, such as "Samaritan" and "Day Shift." He also has a recurring role in the hit TV show "Lucifer."

He is no stranger to the music industry. He is the co-founder of AK Worldwide, Inc., a base operation responsible for singer Alicia Keys' international appearances and performances.

Before he started working for Keys, DJ was the president of FTGU Music, Inc., a company that managed tours and represented artists.

DJ helps his son with his acting career and coaches him in boxing. He took Javon to many boxing tournaments so his son could have the training and exposure he needed in the Junior Olympics.

Javon's father, a former vice president of USA Boxing for five years, holds an AIBA-1 coaching certification from the International Boxing Federation.

The teen actor, who already dreamed of becoming a boxer at only two years old, stated that having a coach means everything to him. Javon said his bond with his dad was "unbreakable."

Javon looks up to his dad as a role model. When he grows up and becomes a professional boxer, the teen wants his dad to be in the corner of the boxing ring, cheering him on.

Javon's Mom Is the Creator of the Award-Winning App

Javon's mother, Jessica Walton, works in digital media as a creator, influencer, and writer. She created the award-winning app and book "The Journals of Mama Mae and Lee Lee."

As a professional dancer, Jessica performed at the Hollywood Bowl with Keys. Javon's mom also has appeared in several commercials.

As of this writing, Jessica has over 347,000 Instagram followers. She is also the creative director who, along with her husband, manages the careers of Javon and his siblings.

Javon's Younger Brother Also Starred in 'Euphoria'

Javon has three siblings: Jayla, his older sister; his twin brother Jaden; and Daelo, his younger brother. They all bear uncanny similarities to each other.

The Walton siblings have several interests outside the entertainment industry, including sports.

Javon is not the only one in the family smitten with the limelight. Both Jayla and Daelo also have acting credits under their belt. Daelo also starred in "Euphoria," to the surprise of the show's fans.

In a flashback episode, Daelo played the young Ashtray. Javon said the show's director loved his little brother's acting when he did an original scene in season one portraying Ashtray. Javon said:

"The director absolutely loved him, so he ended up being baby Ashtray."

The child actor made his acting debut alongside his brother in Amazon Prime's "Utopia." Working on the series made Daelo realize that he wanted to pursue acting like his brother.

Jayla, also known as Cookie, stars in the 2022 film "1-800-Hot-Nite" and has upcoming projects scheduled for release in 2023. She is also a social media star with more than 1 million followers on Instagram and TikTok.

Meanwhile, Javon's twin brother Jaden has also modeled beside him. Many viewers have commented on their striking resemblance even though they are fraternal twins.

Javon and Jaden rarely post photos of each other on social media, but Javon's most recent post about his twin was in 2020, when the latter posted a throwback photo of them on Instagram.

The Walton siblings have several interests outside the entertainment industry, including sports. Jaden and Daelo play baseball, while Javon and Jayla enjoy gymnastics.

Besides gymnastics, Javon trains in boxing while Jayla plays volleyball. Jayla is also an advocate for the environment and equality. Another interesting fact about little Daelo is he considers math his favorite subject.

Since landing his breakout role in "Euphoria," alongside actors Jacob Elordi, Zendaya, and Angus Cloud, Javon has appeared in a few films. One of his most recent projects was voicing the character Pugsley in the animated movie "The Addams Family 2."

Javon Walton thoroughly enjoyed his role because it spoke directly to his core family values. He said he admired the Addams family because they love to be different and unique.

The teen star said he puts his family first, just like the Addams family does. The strange clan knows that family is more important than anything else.
