On July 13, 2023, Viera was driving when she reportedly fell asleep and crashed her vehicle into a truck in front of her. Her mother, Vivian Ochoa, spoke to the local media about her daughter's tragic demise.

According to Ochoa, Viera was tired, which made her fall asleep behind the wheel. The devastated mother recalled that the first responders arrived at the accident site, treated Viera, and revived her twice, but she passed away while on her way to the hospital. Ochoa said:

"They revived her, and she then had a heart attack. They revived her again, but she passed away when they were taking her to trauma care."

The grieving mother told the media that her daughter had a good heart and was always there for her friends and family. "She helped too many people," Ochoa said, adding:

"I didn’t know that God had given me an angel. I didn’t know that God had given me a little piece of heaven for a very short time."

According to reports, Viera's father, who resided in Peru, couldn't attend her funeral because his visa wasn't approved on time. He got his visa a day after his daughter's funeral services.

Soon after Viera's tragic death, Ochoa posted a heartfelt note on her daughter's Instagram account. The devastated mother described her feelings in the post, saying that only God understood the "emptiness" she felt after Viera's sudden death.

Besides working as a successful model, Viera owned a cleaning service called Full House Cleaning. According to her Instagram bio, she worked in real estate while managing her company and modeling career.

On May 2, Viera posted a video on her Instagram account with over 18,000 followers, where she mentioned her future funeral. In the video, she pretended to get caught while doing everyday tasks, with the text on the video saying:

"Recording myself for my future funeral because it's always me who takes the videos. No one takes them of me."

She posted the video weeks before her death as part of a viral trend where content creators pretended they were being filmed secretly. Many people commented on the video after the model's death.
