Nicholas Galitzine has left fans wondering whether or not he's gay offscreen following his multiple roles as a character part of the LGBTQ community. However, the actor once opened up about having feelings for a girl.

Nicholas Galitzine is an English actor who shot to fame for his roles in "Purple Hearts," "High Strung," and "Red, White, and Blue." The Englishman has many more acting credits to his name, and fans couldn't help but notice that Nicholas Galitzine often plays gay roles in them.

The actor is yet to set the record straight about his sexuality. However, during an interview, Nicholas Galitzine gave the public a glimpse at his love life when he opened up about having a crush on a girl when he was younger, which led to his budding acting career.

Nicholas Galitzine Has Played Multiple Gay Roles

After kickstarting his acting career, Galitzine landed the role of closeted gay rugby player Conor Masters in "Handsome Devil." The English actor also played a bisexual character called Timmy in "The Craft: Legacy." More recently, Galitzine was cast to play Prince Henry, a gay royal in "Red, White, & Royal Blue," co-starring Taylor Zakhar Perez.

In the film, Perez, who plays the President of America's son, and Galitzine stage a truce that leads to a secret romantic relationship. Galitzine is also set to share the silver screen with Kaia Gerber in the upcoming queer comedy "Bottoms."

Nicholas Galitzine's Fans' Reaction to His Multiple Gay Roles

After Galitzine was cast in "Bottoms," one social media took to Twitter and shared, "Bottoms? Lord don't tell me Nicholas Galitzine is playing gay AGAIN?! I mean actually, I do want that but that would be his 3rd gay role THIS YEAR alone."

Another one of the actor's fans shared the same sentiment about his multiple gay roles, writing in part, "I love the dedication Nicholas Galitzine has for playing a gay character or being part of something queer."

A third person commented, "Love that I've never seen Nicholas Galitzine on screen and thought 'straight man.' Like handsome devil and rwrb are obvious but every scene from Cinderella I see he's so gay. [sic]"

During an interview, the actor opened up about his role in "Handsome Devil" and what his portrayal of a gay character means to the LGBTQ community. He said:

"It is really lovely to see how passionate members of the gay community are and how much this means to them. [...] I hope that there are other gay and LGBTQ teens who see this and feel compelled to speak out and be true to themselves."

Nicholas Galitzine's Crush on a Girl Led Him to Act

Before his rise to heartthrob status, Galitzine was an ordinary boy — who actually had his sights set on a career in sports instead of acting — who "really fancied" a girl who was going to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

However, in pursuing the mystery girl, Nicholas Galitzine ended up with a potential acting career. "I did [the festival] so I could go chase this girl. And I came back with this acting agency," Galitzine said.
