Teddy Bridgewater's wife has been a topic of interest among fans since his rise to fame as a quarterback in the National Football League. At the time of writing, the NFL star was not married but revealed that he was "very appreciative" of his relationship with Erika Cardona.
Teddy Bridgewater became a household name after the Minnesota Vikings selected him as the 32nd pick in the 2014 NFL draft. And according to reports, he has been in a relationship with his girlfriend and author, Erika Cardona.
While the true nature of Teddy Bridgewater and Erika Cardona's relationship remains unclear, the pair have proven they share a close relationship. The NFL player inspired the author's two books, and she was by his side when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.

Teddy Bridgewater Was the Inspiration behind Erika Cardona's Books
Cardona grew up in Miami, Florida, and after obtaining a degree in Early Childhood Education, she channeled her passion for reading and writing into penning a children's series book, "Little Bear Teddy," based on Bridgewater's life. Bridgewater said about being the inspiration behind the book:
"It's a great feeling. You know, you talk about giving a person their flowers while they can still smell them; I think that's what Erika is doing. And it's just great that I could be a huge inspiration to her."
The "Little Bear Teddy" title was eventually turned into a series. The first book in the series was "Little Bear Teddy: Big Dream Come True," while the second was "Little Bear Teddy: Big Change." The book's idea came to the author in 2016 while Bridgewater was recovering from his injury.

According to one source, Bridgewater and Cordona are more than just best friends.
"She's been there when there were times I couldn't put my shoe on, or I needed assistance doing the smaller things. I'm just very appreciative that I could have someone like that in my corner supporting me when I was at my lowest," Bridgewater said.

Sources Claimed Teddy Bridgewater and Erika Cardona Were Dating
Unlike Tom Brady, who has only played for two teams in the NFL, Bridgewater played for multiple, and has played alongside Von Miller and for the same team as Peyton Manning. And his adaptability to change without complaining impressed Cardona.
However, according to one source, Bridgewater and Cardona are more than just best friends. Another report shared the same sentiment, claiming that the NFL player and the author were dating.
And in 2017, longtime NBA writer Chris Tomasson shared a picture of the alleged couple and shared, "Teddy Bridgewater and girlfriend and author Erika Cardona talked about the Little Bear Teddy children's book she wrote inspired by Teddy."
