Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert have tied the knot. The two officially became husband and wife in Monterey County, California, on August 26, 20223, at a glamorous wedding attended by 106 guests.

The events leading to the wedding day kicked off on August 24, with a welcome party at a stunning cliffside estate in Carmel, a most breathtaking place, according to Hough.

A garden rehearsal dinner followed the day after, attended by family members. The dinner also turned into a wedding party where the couple's kin gave speeches to celebrate the love birds. The series of events, including the wedding day, was planned by Erbert with the assistance of Simple Troy Lifestyle + Events.

The couple exchanged personal and traditional vows, with Hough's brother-in-law officiating the ceremony. The groom was gorgeous in a Tom Ford suit, while Erbert looked stunning in a custom duchess satin gown designed by Georgina Chapman from Marchesa. She accessorized the gown with a long veil, blusher, and jewelry by Ring Concierge.

The wedding was held in a redwood forest, and the couple exchanged wows in front of a mother tree surrounded by smaller ones. According to Erbert, "They drop all the seeds, and it plants kind of like an army of children to protect the mother. The symbolism of it was beautiful. We're here, planting our seeds to grow our family."

Hough's plans worked out as he popped the question to a stunned Erbert at their home. He got on one knee and asked the 28-year-old to marry him.

Erbert walked down the aisle, lined with pink roses, white delphinium, and ferns, to a unique rendition of "Unconditional" by Richard Walters, which the singer rewrote and recorded specifically for this wedding. They said their vows, which they wrote themselves, under a floral arch, sealing the deal with wedding bands by Paris Jewellers, which also created the bride's custom diamond engagement ring.

Confetti rained on the newlyweds as they shared a kiss to the tune of Mike Mains & the Branches' "I Love You Always and Forever," after which guests moved to what the couple labeled "The Hough Garden" for dinner.

Arriving in a vintage convertible, guests saw Erbert wearing a second dress, a slinky dress with spaghetti straps, and a tulle train. After dinner, the party moved to a 100-year-old barn adorned with Signature chandeliers. This was where guests were treated to the couple's first dance and where they partied on the dance floor the rest of the night.

According to the nature lovers, their wedding was beautiful and incredibly romantic, quite the perfect crescendo to the beautiful start of their love story.

The Couple's Engagement

Hough and Erbert met in 2014 when Erbert became part of the cast of Hough and his sister's "Move Live Tour." They started dating the year after. Seven years later, in June 2022, Hough proposed to Erbert in their home, which he called "the most special place" for them.

The 38-year-old recreated their home to make it a perfect, intimate setting to propose to Erbert. He worked with event planner Troy Williams, in transforming the couple's living room into a romantic space, with 250 candles and 1600 roses.

Williams added that Hough wanted the proposal to be the most romantic ever and a special moment for them. The dancer knew that by proposing at home, it meant that the couple were ready to start the next biggest adventure of their lives at this place.
