Tracy Kristofferson is actor Kris Kristofferson's daughter and the eldest of eight siblings. She had a career as an actress before ultimately opting for a more private life.

Like most of her siblings, Tracy Kristofferson initially pursued a career in acting, following in her father Kris Kristofferson's footsteps. However, she appears to have taken a step back from Hollywood.

Tracy's life may be private these days, but there was a time when she reportedly grabbed headlines due to an accident that left her father deeply worried.

Tracy Kristofferson Was Involved in a Serious Accident When She Was Young

Tracy was born in 1962 to actor Kris Kristofferson and his former spouse, Fran Beer. In April 1982, Tracy Kristofferson, a 20-year-old second-year student at Stanford University, faced a life-threatening ordeal.

Tracy is one of Kris's eight children, born to three women.

At that time, Tracy was riding on the back of a motorcycle in the Mojave Desert, driven by none other than Eric Heiden, the legendary athlete who had clinched five gold medals in speed skating at the 1980 Winter Olympics.

However, tragedy struck when the rear of their motorcycle collided with a mobile home. According to newspaper reports, at that time, Tracy suffered serious injuries. This situation was even more challenging because her father was on tour in Europe then.

Kris immediately flew home and went to the hospital after receiving the news of his daughter's accident. Despite his low level of spirituality, Kris turned to prayer and wished his child would not be paralyzed.

Fortunately, despite her injuries' gravity, Tracy recovered. Her father was also immensely relieved when he learned that her legs moved when a doctor checked on her, sparing her from the devastating fate of paralysis.

Tracy's Private Life— A Rare Glimpse into Her World

Following the accident, Tracy forged ahead with her life, ultimately achieving remarkable success in the world of entertainment. She also began a family of her own with her husband, Richard Tyson.

The exact date of her marriage to Richard remains unknown, but what is clear is that she filed a divorce against her husband in July 2020 in a court in San Mateo, California.

Even though their marriage was falling apart, Tracy was adept at maintaining a private life. However, the couple made a rare public appearance alongside Kris at an award ceremony in 2001 Hollywood, California.

Tracy had rarely appeared in the public eye. In 1976, Tracy attended the premiere of "A Star Is Born" with her father and his then-wife, Rita Coolidge, at Mann's Village Theater in Westwood.

In 1990, Tracy also graced a fundraiser party at a Santa Monica hotel with her father and a few family members. The most recent event Tracy attended was the Cesar Chavez 2015 Legacy Awards in Los Angeles.

Tracy Comes from a Big & Blended Family

Tracy is one of Kris's eight children, born to three women. Her little brother, Kris Kristofferson Jr., was born in 1968 to their mother, Fran, but has remained out of the public eye.

Casey Kristofferson, born in 1974, is Kris's daughter with his second wife, Rita Coolidge. Based in North Carolina, Casey is a recording artist and the lead singer of The Casey Kristofferson Band.

Tracy has five siblings with her father's current wife, Lisa Meyer. Jesse Kristofferson, born in October 1983, followed in his father's footsteps and pursued acting, with appearances in various TV shows "Days of Our Lives," "Melrose Place" and the film "Planet of the Apes."

Born in 1985, Jody Kristofferson chose a different path and became a former professional wrestler. Meanwhile, Johnny Robert Kristofferson, born in 1988, studied law at Pepperdine University and now practices as an attorney in California.

Kelly Marie Kristofferson, born in 1990, has a career as an actress and musician, with her most recent on-screen projects including appearances in "Little Lamb" and "Heartbreak and Other Sharp Things."

Blake Cameron Kristofferson, born in 1994, is Kris and Lisa's youngest child and has maintained a low profile. Little is known about him, but he is reportedly a degree holder from Pepperdine University.
