WHO ARE DAKOTA JOHNSON'S PARENTS?

Dakota might be the most famous member of the Johnson family nowadays, but that was not always the case. Her dad, Don Johnson, is an actor, producer, and director best known as Sonny Crockett in the 1980s TV series "Miami Vice."

In 1996, Don was cast as the title character in "Nash Bridges," a role he held for six seasons until the show's finale in 2001. In 1976, before achieving worldwide fame, Don married and divorced Melanie Griffith.

Melanie is also an actress and producer who shot to stardom for her outstanding portrayal of Tess McGill in "Working Girl." Griffith's part won her a Golden Globe Award and an Oscar nomination.

Don and Melanie reunited and married in 1989, but they parted ways in 1996. Don moved on and tied the knot with Kelley Phleger in 1999, and Melanie did the same and married actors Steven Bauer and Antonio Banderas.

Jesse Johnson is Dakota's eldest brother. Born in December 1982, the "Gun Shy" actor is Don and Patti D'Arbanville's only son. Although he has been an actor for over two decades, he has not had a breakthrough role yet.
