Fans React to Pierce Brosnan’s Pic Tenderly Holding Youngest Son’s Hand: ‘The Next James Bond'
- Pierce Brosnan's son, Paris Brosnan, is a possible successor to his father in the "James Bond" franchise, according to the actor's Instagram followers this week.
- The Irishman collaborated with his youngest in a family-themed fashion shoot.
- Paris gave insight into his dad's creative process when talking about his own.
This week, Pierce Brosnan shared a photo of the "A Father and Son Tale" campaign that he did with his son Paris Brosnan for the lifestyle brand Paul&Shark. Paris is the younger of two children Pierce shares with his journalist wife, Keeley Shaye Smith.
In the shot, the "GoldenEye" actor sits in a vintage sports car with its top down. Paris stands beside the car with both hands on his dad's shoulders while the elder Brosnan affectionally holds his hand.

The photo was taken in Tuscany, Italy, and the warm tones of the old building behind them were glowing off their skin. "The Dad 100%," a fan wrote. "What a great pic of you. Like father like son," someone complimented. Another countered, writing, "Look like his mother."

Other positive comments flooded Pierce's post, including, "Two handsome men," "James Bond Jr!," "We are all here for it!" and "Get him to test for the 7th 007! x." One even wrote, "The next James Bond in the future."
The Irish-born actor portrayed James Bond in four movies between 1995 and 2002. His final foray into espionage was "Die Another Day," with Halle Berry, grossing $160.94 million at the box office.
Speculation over who will play the next 007 is a popular pursuit on the internet, and it is not surprising that fans have set their sights on the son of one of the most popular actors to play the icon.
While Paris was not wearing Bond's signature tuxedo in the image, the 22-year-old looked sophisticated in a cream wool turtleneck under a dark parka. His slightly tussled hair gives off a sense of adventure as he gazes knowingly into the camera.
His father looked equally dashing in a cornflower blue crewneck sweater with a perfectly crisp Oxford collar and cuffs peeking out. Their outfits were from the ocean-inspired brand's fall/winter collection.
"I'm getting on; I know my face is in the process of collapsing," Pierce joked in 2015. He added, "I hear my bones creak that little bit more. The lines are doubling."
Self-deprecation aside, the actor held his own with his youngest son in other photos from "A Father and Son Tale." Paul&Shark captioned a picture of the pair in a touching side hug:
"The most authentic and boundless embrace."
Last week, Paris posted a different photo of him standing beside his dad and the vintage car, this time in a street scene, writing, "Good times back in Tuscany."
The youngest Brosnan has previously modeled for Dolce & Gabbana and Balmain and walked in a charity show at London Fashion Week. With his brother and dad, he was also featured in GQ.

Paris Brosnan Had an Idyllic Island Childhood in Hawaii with His Family
Born in Los Angeles, California, on February 27, 2001, Paris spent most of his childhood in Kauai, Hawaii, where Pierce could be a "father who can sit quietly" beside his two younger sons.
When the star painted, the younger boys joined him, and they played in the mud while their mom, Keeley Shaye Smith, gardened. "And we play guitar," Pierce added. "We play ukulele."

Paris's brother, Dylan Brosnan, is four years older than him. He also has half and step-siblings from his father's previous marriage. "There's a lot of support and love there for one another," the "Tomorrow Never Dies" actor said of his children, adding:
"The older ones have always looked out for the 'youngsters' and always looked up to them."

The "proud grandfather" told the Irish Independent that there was still a lot of life in him and that he would keep going until he is no longer able to. He added:
"Life is so precious. It can be snatched away without any prior warning, so why waste it? That's why I enjoy my wonderful, beautiful family, my children, and my grandchildren."

Paris confided to People in 2022 that his father had a strict side, saying, "I mean, he's an actor, so he can get medieval real quick as he would say." He continued:
"We keep it pretty mellow. But he could put on an energy that was a force to be reckoned with!"
The "A Father and Son Tale" campaign is not the first time Paris has worked on a project with his dad. He was the production assistant on "Black Adam," Pierce's DC film opposite Dwayne Johnson.
As a student, he directed a documentary short on his 2019 trip to Sri Lanka, where he observed an afterschool meal program. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University, a private institution in L.A in May of this year.
Pierce encouraged the graduate to go out "into the world with a brave heart and create stories that will make the world a better place" in a congratulatory social media post.
Paris Brosnan Is Also a Painter Like His Father
Appearing on an episode of Golden Goose's "Sketch Yourself" in July 2023, Paris identified himself as a "painter, aspiring filmmaker, and creative."
He spoke about how he had been surrounded by art his whole life, beginning with watching his dad paint, painting with his brother, going to museums, and paging through art books.
In the clip, he wears a sweater embossed with 'Golden Dreamer' and talks about the benefit of staying creative for one's "mind, body, and soul." He said:
"It has really become one of my dreams and aspirations to continue making art for myself, and if other people are receptive to it and like it, that is a bonus."

He explained that his biggest source of inspiration was watching his dad paint. He recalled his father locking himself in the studio for hours lost in his own world. He is also inspired by friends and things he has seen online.
The young artist does not use reference material when going into the studio. Paris approaches the blank canvasses purely with his imagination. "I like to spontaneously free flow and put down what I am feeling," he said.
