4-Year-Old Girl Tells Mom Deceased Dad Came into Her Room & Kissed Her Forehead on Her Birthday

A woman had the most challenging task of raising three growing children alone when her husband died. It'd been four months since his passing, and they were still getting used to his absence.

After a chilling encounter with her four-year-old daughter, the woman took to Reddit to get things off her chest. She didn't know what to do, so she wondered whether strangers could help her with her ordeal.

"Honestly, I don't know what to say! My husband passed away four months ago. We have three kids together and our 4-year-old daughter was the one who had the biggest attachment to him," she wrote.

When the woman's husband was still alive, he allowed their children to sleep in bed with him. Their four-year-old daughter was the most attached to her dad. She cared for him while he was ill and would often bring him water so he could take his medication.

The Little Girl Had a Memorable Birthday

Out of the couple's three children, it was their four-year-old daughter who completely understood their family's situation. She knew her dad was ill and what was going to happen.

On the little girl's 5th birthday, the first one without her dad, she woke up crying at four in the morning. When her mom asked her what happened, she gave the most unexpected answer.

She claimed her dad went inside the room and kissed her forehead. Her mom wondered whether she confused her dreams with reality, but the little girl insisted.

"No, mommy. I know what dreams are like, and what happened wasn't a dream," she said. The young girl's answer gave her mom the chills.

Before her mom could say anything else, the little girl continued to describe the scenario. Her dad was wearing a black suit, which the mom revealed was the same suit they buried him in.

When the woman asked whether her dad said anything to her, the little girl shook her head and began crying again. She wanted him to talk to her, but he didn't.

The woman wanted to believe that what her daughter experienced was a dream. However, her daughter stayed up that morning and refused to close her eyes.

That alone proved to the concerned mom that her daughter's feelings were heavy about what she saw. Since that day, the young girl had been unusually quiet, and it bothered her mom.

While she wanted to comfort her daughter, she didn't know how to, especially since she was grieving herself. She wondered whether her situation made sense.
