Julien Baker's girlfriend has been a topic of interest among fans since the Tennessee native's ascend to fame as a musician. The singer has been in a long-term relationship with Mariah Schneider, who has also made a name for herself in the music industry.

Julien Baker is an up-and-coming musician who has seen her personal life, including her love life, catch fans' attention. But despite their interest, neither Mariah Schneider nor Julien Baker have publicly spoken much about their relationship.

However, Mariah Schneider has shared glimpses of her and Julien Baker's romance on social media. And in a heartfelt post, the former revealed she cherished the little family she has created with her girlfriend.

Who Is Mariah Schneider?

Schneider has German origin but grew up in Nashville, and during an interview, the creative revealed her love of guitars developed after watching her grandfather's woodwork.

Baker's girlfriend has since found success in guitar construction and lutherie. She's been playing the guitar since she was 12 but only got around to building her first instrument during the pandemic. Schneider is also the lead singer and guitarist of Slider, an alt-rock band.

The formerly four-person group had over 2,000 followers on Instagram at the time of writing. After announcing their return to music in June, the band also took to Instagram to introduce their new fifth member, Matt. Schneider has also joined Baker on stage during one of her live performances for a few songs.

How Long Have Julien Baker and Her Girlfriend Been Together?

Earlier this year, Baker revealed she and Schneider had been together for over three years. The singer also revealed during an interview that one of her favorite things to do is cook, and while she grills vegetables and seafood, Schneider's culinary prowesses include baking bread.

Neither Baker nor Schneider has publically spoken about their romance. In fact, according to reports, Baker's management once forbade personal questions during an interview.

However, in October 2021, Schneider gave fans a glimpse at her and Baker's life as a couple after sharing a photo dump with themselves and their dog, and she shared:

"I cherish every single day with this little family 🐶 Thank you for two wonderful years and for taking every touristy selfie with me 👩‍❤️‍👩🤳."

That same month, Schneider posted a snap of her and Baker in front of a beautiful mountain range, and in March 2020, she documented their trip to New York. Schneider shared another photo dump of her and her girlfriend in April 2020, and a few months later, she posted a clip of Baker with two butterflies on her head.

Today, Baker openly identifies as a lesbian; however, the actress revealed, "I had a lot of fear coming out as a kid." Baker grew up in a heavily religious environment but feels fortunate her coming-out experience was not negative.

After the Tennessee native's father caught her in a compromising moment with her then-girlfriend, he was accepting instead of kicking Baker out. Other celebrities including Kathy Bates, Justin Timberlake, and Megan Fox also called Tennessee home.
