One thing led to another, and the duo started dating and fell in love with each other. Although Klum had already been pregnant with her firstborn at the time, the "Kiss from a Rose" singer revealed that her growing bump just made him fall more in love with her.

In fact, he said that seeing Klum with her five-month baby bump put everything into perspective for him to know that she was the one he wanted to marry. Of this instant realization, Seal expressed:

"...Of course we were in love before that, but that [was the] defining moment."

As soon as Seal's confirmed love for Klum was solidified, he made sure to pull out all the stops for the proposal. With the intention of committing in finality to the woman of his dreams, he popped the question in a place that was very near and dear to his heart, as he said he wanted Klum to be a part of the most treasured moments of his life.

The artist's friends helped him transport a bed, rose petals, food, and champagne via a helicopter to the top of a mountain. With good weather on their side, Seal and his beloved flew to the setting, and he proposed.

On May 10, 2005, the former couple first tied the knot on a Mexican beach. As if things could not get any more romantic, the pair would have yearly wedding ceremonies on their anniversary. Talking about their decision to do so, Seal explained:

"It just keeps you focused. It reminds you why you got married—not that we need any reminding."

However, a couple of years ago, a pop culture outlet reported that Seal was not fond of his and Klum's vow renewal ceremonies. Seal once sat down with Andy Cohen on his radio show to divulge that the annual ceremonies were actually his ex-wife's idea.

Similar to how Seal was able to move on from his relationship with Klum, the 50-year-old also found love again.

The famous musician said that the vow renewals went against his nature as a typically private person, but he did them to be a team player in his marriage. Though he said it was cool, he felt it wasn't all that necessary.

As far as how the "America's Got Talent" judge felt about what was labeled as her idea by her ex, though she ultimately agreed with Seal that it wasn't working, Klum still liked the concept. The star said:

"I think I got married eight times to Seal. I thought it would be kind of, like, fun. I thought it would be a fest of love...I tried, you can't say I didn't try!"

In the end, the couple who share four kids separated and got divorced. A part of their joint statement, which confirmed their split, read:

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal, and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching, we have decided to separate...This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority..."

After they split, Seal moved on with another woman, and far from being sad or bitter, Klum wished him and his new girlfriend nothing but the best. Of his then-new romance, the TV show judge previously expressed:

"I'm very, very happy for him...and I like her very much..."

The lovebirds met on February 22, 2018, and the guitarist popped the question the same year in December. Though the couple has been happily in love since, there has been some controversy surrounding their distinctive age gap.

However, when it comes to their 16-year-age gap, Klum has remained unfazed when asked whether that is somewhat of a significant hurdle for the couple. Speaking with InStyle magazine, she made it clear:

"...lots of people are questioning that and asking about it...I don't really think about it that much...You have to just live a happy life without worrying too much about what people think because worrying is only going to give you more wrinkles."

Regardless of what people have had to say about Kaulitz and Klum's age difference, the model confirmed that she is a lot happier with her younger hubby. She expressed that she is delighted to have found someone she feels she can talk to about anything and someone with whom she can share her life duties.

Klum described her husband as incredibly kind-hearted, sweet, caring, and loving and expressed that she could not recall the last time she found complete happiness like she had with Kaulitz.
