Jaden Smith’s Gay Rumors Followed Him for Years – He’s Currently Dating Sab Zada

Jaden Smith's sexuality has been a topic of conversation amongst fans for years. The singer is currently in a relationship with a woman but sparked rumors that he was gay after referring to Tyler, the Creator, as his boyfriend.

Jaden Smith has tipped toed around the topic of his sexuality for years, as the young artist has never opened up about how he identifies. He was famously linked to Kylie Jenner and other female stars.

However, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith's son has also admitted to being in love with Tyler, the Creator, leaving social media users and his fans alike in a state of confusion.

Is Jaden Smith Gay?

In November 2018, social media personality DJ Akademiks took to Instagram and shared a clip of Jaden during a live performance where he admitted to being in a relationship with Tyler, the Creator.

After declaring that the singer was his best friend whom he loved so much, Jaden revealed Tyler, the Creator, was his boyfriend. The "The Karate Kid" star later reaffirmed his declaration about his and Tyler, the Creator's relationship in a since-deleted tweet.

However, the confusion around the true nature of their relationship dates as far back as 2015, when Jaden turned to Twitter to wish Tyler, the Creator a happy birthday and wrote in part, "I Think I'm In Love With You, I Don't Know I'm Still Figuring It Out But In The Meantime, Happy Birthday."

Jaden and Tyler, the Creator's relationship is not the first time the former's actions have led to speculation about his sexuality. Jaden's androgynous sense of style saw him rock a skirt after Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière picked Will and Jada's son to model in his spring/summer '16 women's campaign.

"I wore the skirt so I could look fly," Jaden admitted during an episode of his mother's famous "Red Table Talk," featuring his sister and maternal grandmother. Jaden added:

"So, you know, in five years, when a kid goes to school wearing a skirt, he won't get beat up, and kids won't get mad at him. [...] I'm taking the brunt of it so that later on, my kids and the next generations of kids will all think that certain things are normal that weren't expected before my time."

Jaden's mother was supportive of his decision to wear a skirt, and she was also supportive of her daughter admitting to liking males and females. "Whatever makes you happy," Jada said.

Social Media Users Speculated about Jaden Smith's Sexuality

In 2018, one social media user wrote, "Since when is Jaden Smith gay? Have I been living under a rock or is this new to everyone?" and another shared in 2021, "yall this might be a stupid question but is jaden smith gay he's been my celebrity crush for a while n i remember someone told me he was (sic)."

Another fan shared the same sentiment, writing, "sooooooo is jaden smith gay? he has been the loml since i seen karate kid omg (sic)." A fourth revealed, "I don't know what's more surprising. The fact that Jaden Smith is gay or the fact that "Tyler the creator" is his boyfriend." However, a fifth social media user shared:

"For the times we live in and for Jaden Smith to be an actual good person who makes phenomenal music, I'm confused as to why people bully my mans so much. Dude just gay and nerdy like who cares, make a headline about something that matters (sic)."

Jaden Smith Is Dating Sab Zada

After denying whispers that he was dating Sofia Richie, Jaden sparked romance rumors with model Sab Zada and the pair were spotted holding hands while on a romantic movie date in Los Angeles in February 2022.

According to reports, the couple has been romantically linked since 2020 and confirmed they were still going strong a few months ago. After Jaden Smith and Sab were first photographed kissing at the beach in Malibu on August 9, they were later seen enjoying another PDA-filled outing on August 12.
