Laura Char Carson Is Sofia Carson's Mother and the Actress's 'Entire World'

Sofia Carson has found success on the Hollywood acting scene and revealed it is all thanks to her mother, Laura Char Carson. According to the actress, her mom has been her "partner" throughout her career.

Sofia Carson is a talented actress who became a household name for her role in "Purple Hearts." However, the Hollywood star revealed her career has been years in the making with the love and support of her mother, Laura Char Carson.

Laura Char Carson helped materialize her daughter's dreams of becoming an actress. Laura Char Carson's daughter has since not been shy about singing her mother's praises, and the actress revealed she owes everything she is to her mom.

Laura Char Carson Raised Her Daughter in a Multi-Cultural Home

Laura has Irish and Columbian origin and ensured Sophia and her sister Paulina — who Sofia revealed in a heartfelt Instagram post is also her best friend and the better half of her heart — received a taste of both words growing up.

Every single day, Laura has taught her daughter that nothing is impossible and sets an example by never taking 'no' as an answer "in the best way."

Laura's daugher revealed her multi-cultural background saw her spending Christmases in Columbia — also her father's birthplace — and singing in English and Spanish when she was a little girl. "We've been raised completely biculturally. I think it's a cool experience," Laura's actress-daughter shared.

Laura Char Carson Helped Build Her Daughter's Career

Earlier this year, Laura's daughter revealed her mother revealed her mother exposed her to multitalented women in the entertainment industry from a young age, one of the many ways Laura helped shape her daughter's career. Sofia said about her mom:

"We worked together on my career. I call her my head of management. She is my partner. She is my everything."

Sofia added that throughout the production of "Purple Hearts" — from lending a hand in the script development to casting the talent and writing the film's soundtrack in a week — she kept hearing Laura's words of encouragement.

When Laura's daughter was growing up, she was not one to be vocal or unafraid to use her voice the same way Laura and her other daughter were. However, Laura instilled a sense of responsibility to use her voice in her daughter, which is what drew her to her leading role in "Purple Hearts," co-starring Nicholas Galitzine.

Aside from being influential in her daughter's career, Laura is also a stellar example of the good and kind person the actress tries to be. "My mom leads with love, kindness, and empathy in everything that she does, and I strive to follow her example," Laura's daughter said.

In honor of Mother's Day earlier this year, Sofia Carson shared a throwback of her, Laura, and her sister, and the caption read in part, "Happy Mothers Day to my Whole Entire World ♥️ Everything I am, I owe to you. I adore you, my Ma."
