She said her nail style was inspired by her grandmother, and she only later discovered the resemblance to late sprinter Florence Griffith Joyner's nails, by accident.

Sha'carri Richardson Was Born Female

Richardson was born female on May 25, 2000, and is not trans. In a 2022 YouTube video, she affirmed her pride in herself and expressed love for who she is. She continued:

"Don't let nobody tell you how to live your life because if you travel the world if you see different people of different ages, colors, races, we literally show every day that life can be successfully lived in different ways, poor or rich."

She also encouraged everyone, especially young girls and boys, to resist external pressures and walk their own paths. Besides her unique views, her athletic achievements make her a standout star.

Richardson is a two-time World Champion, a Bronze Medalist at the World Championships, and a Pan American U20 Champion. Additionally, she has clinched victory in three Diamond League meetings.

In October 2023, she won gold in the Women's 100-meter finals at the World Athletics Championship in Hungary. Early this month, she expressed happiness about a track field in her hometown being named after her.

The sprinter's recent success came after she failed to compete in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics as she tested positive for substance abuse. She has publicly apologized, citing the pressures of competition and her biological mother's death as contributing factors.

Sha'carri Richardson Is Bisexual

Richardson came out as bisexual in 2015. Demonstrating her commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, she posted a rainbow flag on X during Pride Month in June 2021.

She had also mentioned having a "girlfriend" on the platform. In one tweet, she affectionately called her partner the "best," while in another lighthearted post, they joked about frying anything they could find in Texas.

In a USA Today interview, Richardson shared that her girlfriend was the one who picked a vibrant orange hair color for her track and field trials in 2021.

Richardson never revealed her girlfriend's name during that time, but it wasn't until May 2022 that Janeek Brown, also a track athlete, alleged in a Bwoyatingz By Kareem interview that she was her "girlfriend."

Brown revealed they were in a relationship for two years until they broke up in February of that year. It seems Richardson confirmed their breakup and shared insights into their relationship.

During an Instagram Live session recorded via the Our Today channel, Richardson admitted her toxicity in the relationship, took responsibility for her actions, and stressed the importance of refraining from judgment without understanding the whole truth.

"I don't want drama. I legit want peace," she said. Expressing her thoughts about the media, Richardson said she felt "defensive" and had to "protect" herself against negativity.

She also talked about feeling uncomfortable with increased attention on her social media image as she becomes more famous, emphasizing her increasing awareness and ability to step back when overwhelmed.
