Jill Diven: Inside Her Relationship with Her Ex-husband Brad Garrett
Jill Diven and her ex-husband, actor Brad Garrett, were married for seven years and welcomed two children. However, the actor admitted that the former couple's marriage began to fall apart around the four-year mark.
During his rise to fame as a comedic actor, Brad Garrett and his ex-wife, Jill Diven, said "I do." The former couple had a whirlwind romance and saw their marriage crumble almost as quickly as it had started.
Despite being "decent" people, Jill Diven's ex-husband concluded that they just weren't right for each other, which saw the actor dreadfully experience something he hoped never to encounter again: a divorce.

Jill Diven Fell Pregnant with Her and Her Ex-husband's First Child a Few Months into the Relationship
In his autobiography, Jill's ex-husband revealed she had fallen pregnant with their first child only three months into the relationship. As a result, the couple rushed into marriage in hopes of building what Brad has always dreamed of having: a real family.
Court documents revealed Jill and her ex-husband's divorce had been finalized in November 2007.
Jill's ex-husband admits the former couple could not have been more different. However, that did not stop the actor from proposing on the "Everybody Loves Raymond" set in August 1998, with his castmates, the crew, and the audience serving as witnesses.

Jill Diven's Ex-husband Admitted To Being Unfaithful
Although Jill and her ex-husband — who shared the small screen with Ray Romano and Patricia Heaton — were married for nearly a decade, the actor admitted their marriage began to crumble after about four years.
The couple hung in there for the remainder of their marriage, which Jill's ex-husband disclosed began to feel like a long-distance, thirty-year marriage, and added:
"I was not a faithful husband, and the apathy on both sides was overwhelming. The bottom line was we were decent people who just didn't belong together. "

Jill Diven's Ex-husband's Most Painful Moment Was Telling Their Children about Their Separation
After separating in April 2006, court documents revealed Jill and her ex-husband's divorce had been finalized in November 2007. Reports disclosed that "irreconcilable differences" was cited as the reason for the separation and that Jill and her ex-husband would split his residual income down the middle.
Jill and her ex-husband welcomed their children Maxwell and Hope during their marriage, and the "Everybody Loves Raymond" star said, "The day I sat down with my two young children to try and explain that Daddy was going to move out was the most painful day of my life."

Diven and her ex-husband shared physical custody of their two children, and the actor had to pay $7,400 a month in child support for their son and $12,600 for their daughter until their children turned 19 or graduated from high school.
The actor also had to pay $44,900 in spousal support until either he or Jill died, she remarried, or the year 2018, whichever came first. In 2019, Brad Garrett turned to Instagram to celebrate their son's 21st birthday and gushed about how proud he was of Maxwell.
The actor shared the same sentiment in 2021 when he celebrated their daughter Hope's 21st birthday, typing in part, "Stay courageous and passionate in your beliefs and always remember how proud we are of you and how much you're loved!!"
