David Soul, renowned for his role as detective Kenneth "Hutch" Hutchinson on "Starsky & Hutch," passed away at the age of 80. His wife, Helen Snell, confirmed his death, praising him as a "beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother."
Soul died "after a valiant battle for life in the loving company of family,” according to the widow. She highlighted his multifaceted talents as an actor, singer, storyteller, and artist, noting his impact on many lives.

Paul Michael Glaser, Soul's co-star, expressed his grief, referring to Soul as a "brother, a friend, a caring man." He shared, “We shall never see his like again.”
Glaser reflected on their close relationship, saying, "Seems only yesterday that we were sharing loving insults on the phone.” He finds it hard to grasp the reality of his friend's passing.
