Kim Kardashian Gets Candid About Her Struggle With a 'Painful' Disease: 'I've Tried Everything'

Kim Kardashian recently got candid about her skin issues, particularly her diagnosis of psoriasis, where she discussed the challenges she faced with the condition. The beauty mogul also shared a video showing what psoriasis looks like when triggered.

Kim Kardashian often looks picture-perfect in her Instagram posts, but the reality star recently offered her fans a glimpse into the health issues she faces behind the scenes.

In her recent share, Kardashian showed her social media followers a video of a red, burnt-like patch on her lower leg, a result of the skin condition psoriasis.

She revealed that her psoriasis flare-ups were "painful" and uncomfortable. However, she isn't aware of what triggers it and notes that she hasn't changed anything in her diet that would have triggered the rash. "I've tried everything," she wrote.

Social media users were quick to share their thoughts on Kardashian's skin condition. "Looks so painful… ouch," one person noted. "It looks painful! Praying for you, Kim!" another wrote, while a third agreed, "Gosh!!!! That really looks painful!"

Unfortunately, psoriasis has no known cure. Those diagnosed with the skin condition experience scaly and itchy rashes, often located on the joints, such as knees and elbows, the scalp, and the trunk. At times, it can be painful and often irritable.

Previously, Kardashian faced backlash after revealing on TikTok that she had a tanning bed in her office. However, she clarified that the tanning bed helps her skin condition when it worsens. "I have psoriasis, and it really helps when it's bad. But I don't use it too often," she wrote.

While Kim Kardashian struggles with psoriasis, her eldest daughter, North West, lives with a different condition, dyslexia, a learning disability. North revealed her diagnosis during a livestream with her mother without the latter's permission. Kardashian later revealed that she doesn't talk about her children's conditions publicly.
