A woman shared a story involving her best friend’s friend online whom she did not like. The said pal became a burden in her life and even profited off her misfortune.

A TikTok user who goes by “I’m The Problem,” on the platform, told her more than 700,000 followers about an issue she has had with her best friend’s friend in a three-part series.

Before delving into the details of what occurred, she gave a backstory about her relationship with her best friend, “Liza.” The two women grew up together and were inseparable.

They used to speak to each other every night for longer periods and made it a point to move closer to each other. Once they became adults, they moved in together.

As individuals, the ladies had their own groups of friends. However, the TikToker mentioned that Liza had one friend in particular, “Karen,” whom she did not warm up to.

“There was something about her, I couldn’t put my finger on it, but I didn’t trust her,” said the social media sensation. Despite this, the TikTok user, who said she was raised to be kind, decided to embrace Karen.

As for her best pal Lizzy, she is the type of person who is always there to lean on. But Karen always brought the drama to the circle of friends and always needed rescuing.

While the online user was living with Liza, Karen turned up on their doorstep nearly once a month, crying. Notably, although she came from a wealthy family and had a well-paying job, she would turn up empty-handed.

The TikToker and Liza’s families do not have a lot of money like Karen’s family. Yet Karen would eat and drink their food, watch their TV, make a mess, and then leave.

“This girl was take, take, take, in every sense of the word. She was like an emotional vampire to my friend,” said the TikTok user. It reached a point where the TikTok star would find an excuse to leave the house every time Karen came over.

While telling her story, she mentioned she would never do what Karen did to her. One evening, she came back from work in what appeared to be a hectic night.

Once she arrived home, she found that Karen had eaten her dinner, a meal her boyfriend had left for her and paid for. The following day, the user’s boyfriend cautioned her about Karen. But she did not heed the advice, as Karen once again did her dirty.

When the TikToker opened up her own make-up business, Karen texted her, saying she would also like to venture into the same type of business and asked for tips.

She gave her tips and even told her she could shadow her. The TikToker then fell pregnant and had to endure a difficult pregnancy, which saw her spending more time at the hospital.

While there, she was informed that Karen was poaching her loyal clients and offering them 20 percent off if she canceled on them. “She was profiting off of my misfortune, behind my back, said the user.

According to her, only a handful of people knew she was hospitalized and that it would be an ongoing situation. This includes Lisa and Karen. Karen used this information to capitalize on the fact that the social media user could not fully attend to clients.

Because the TikToker did not have the energy to take her on, she decided to start doing different things instead, to allow Karen to “shine.” "Karen went on to become one of the biggest make-up artists in the UK, Instagram wise," the online user revealed.

In the second clip of the story, the TikToker explained that before Karen started offering her clients cheaper services, she had started following most of the people she followed on Instagram, including some of her relatives.

Once the user’s loved ones informed her about this, she, too, did the same thing to Karen. Karen then told Liza about it and Liza sent a lengthy text to the user, telling her she should not have done that.

While Karen was busy taking over from her bread and butter, the TikTok user decided to do a lash course and believes it was the best thing that came out of the situation.

In a follow-up video, she revealed she is no longer friends with Liza after she blasted her for following the same people that Karen followed. Even though Karen was the first to do it. “I knew in that instant that she wasn’t my friend. That she would choose this girl over me,” the user divulged.

Although Karen is said to be doing well, the content creator opted not to mention her name, yet many of her followers hinted at who it might be. Some suggested Karen might be, New-Zealand-born make-up artist, Lisa Eldridge, YouTuber Jamie Genevieve, English actress and YouTuber, Tanya Burr, and Holly Boon, a CEO of a cosmetics company.
