The story begins with the TikToker, known as @savannaxshea, who noticed an attractive man while shopping. While they were in the checkout line, she strategically peeked at his credit card to see his name, which was enough to find more information about him.
With his name, she found his social media accounts and concluded that he was single. After going through his profile, she scrolled down his friend list and found his mother's account. From there, she discovered that his mother was part of a book club close to her and sent a request to join it.

While at the book club, she bonded with the mystery man's mother over a few books they both enjoyed. Savanna managed to slip in that she was single, and the mother found her to be a nice and interesting girl, so she asked if she could give her son her details.
Savanna could not have been more excited about the upcoming date. "I think he's going to propose and I've picked out our children's names 😍," she captioned her video.

Not long after, she received a text message from the guy and scheduled a coffee date for the weekend. But her detective excursions did not end there. After their conversation, she gained access to his public Snapchat account, where the guy posted a video of him taking his dog on a walk.
In the background of that video was a street sign that Savanna took note of. She went to Google Maps and searched for every street name until she found the exact one. She even clicked on the street view, panned around, and found the exact sign in his video.

From her research, she found out that the neighborhood was nice and walkable and had a few coffee shops. So Savanna got herself ready and went to grab a coffee, hoping she would coincidentally run into him.
When she got there, she saw him walking out of a townhome with his dog. Savanna bravely went up to the house, went around, found the back door open, and let herself in. She walked in and was led to the kitchen, right next to it was a bedroom that had a photo of the man and his mother on the bedside table.

“His bed was made so thought that was pretty attractive,” added Savanna. The TikToker then went into the ensuite bathroom and started browsing the medicine cabinet to see if she could find more clues about his life.
She did not find any lady products in his cabinet, but the wrapper she found in the bin led her to believe that he might have had someone over. On her way out, she bumped into who she assumed was his roommate.

They were both startled by one another, but Savanna made up a story about how she was a cleaner and mistakenly entered the wrong house. The roommate bought it, and she managed to run out of the house. On her way out, she saw the mystery guy walk up with his dog and hid so that he would not see her. Savanna then rushed to her car and drove home.
The much-anticipated weekend coffee came up, and Savanna loved that they had a lot in common. The man mentioned that his mother usually set him up with people, adding that he had recently had a date with a florist from a nearby store.

Savanna made plans to see the guy again the following weekend, but in the meantime, she searched every florist boutique in the neighboring areas until she found the one the guy referred to. She went to the store and found a girl who worked as a clerk, which she assumed was the girl he spoke about. So Savanna introduced herself, told her she was new to the area, and they made plans to meet up for coffee.

This gripping narrative captivated TikTok viewers, earning Savanna comparisons to Joe Goldberg from the "You" book series. Despite the stalking implications, she defended her actions, critiquing the double standards in romantic pursuit. She argued that men could go above and beyond to get to know a woman, but it's a problem when a woman goes for what she wants.

A man met a girl named Kim on a dating app. They exchanged a couple of messages, and when they realized their relationship had potential, they decided to meet up for coffee.
The man shared his story on Reddit in the hope of getting clarity on whether what he did was wrong. He felt that ditching his date made him a bad person, so he wanted people's perspectives regarding the situation.

Initially, the man and Kim were having an okay time. Admittedly, the man found the date boring, but the pair continued on to grab some coffee and talk before driving to an outdoor park.
It was a 30-minute drive to the park, and they used this time to get to know each other more. They had music playing in the background, and it was like any regular date.

However, when they got to the park, things started getting weird. They were talking about casual things when the guy had to use the restroom.
By the time the man finished, he noticed Kim was talking to another man outside. They were being flirty, and when he approached them, the other man asked who he was.

To his surprise, Kim replied, "he's just my friend." The other man proceeded to ask for her number, and she happily gave it to him so they could go out for a drink.
Needless to say, Kim's date was left dumbfounded. He had little interest in continuing to get to know her after realizing Kim blatantly showed interest in another guy. In front of him, no less.

"I wasn't that interested in her and if she's the type of person to show interest in another guy and exchange info in front of me I have no future with her," he determined.
Shortly after, Kim's disheartened date made up an excuse to get away. He got in his car and drove home without her, knowing another 40 minutes with her in the passenger seat would be awkward.

After sharing his story, the man wondered whether he was too harsh for leaving the woman at the park, 40 minutes away from her home. He felt his sudden choice to ditch Kim was justified after what she had done during their date.

"If I'm lucky to get a date that is generous enough to buy me drinks and drive me for free I can hold myself for a day and not openly flirt and call you 'just a friend,'" one woman wrote in support of the man.
"You don't flirt and exchange numbers with someone else while on a date. I'm sure she can sort out transport home," another said.
Despite this, other people felt he was harsh for leaving a woman behind in a strange park. "Just drop her off man. It's 40 mins then you never have to speak to her again. Never let petty [expletive] stop you from being kind and considerate," one person told him.
What do you think of the man's situation? Do you believe what he did was justifiable? What would you have done if you were in his shoes?
