The viral photo which garnered over 11 million views was originally from the 2018 Met Gala. It showed Perry in a striking floor-length floral gown.

Her fans expressed admiration for the AI representation, wishing she was there. After clarifying this, Perry’s fans expressed their thoughts regarding her absence and the AI photo. “I wish it was real,” one commented on X.
