Clarkson admitted to using a drug as well, but not the well-known injection, Ozempic. "Mine is a different one that people assume, but I - I ended up having to do that too," Clarkson revealed. "Everyone thinks it's Ozempic. It's not, it's something else. But it's - it's something that aids in helping break down the sugar."

The revelation sparked a flurry of reactions online, showcasing a mix of support, curiosity, and criticism. "All these celebs that are supposed to be role models saying they lost weight through 'clean eating, working out everyday, will power' BS [sic]," an upset person wrote.
A second speculated, "I wonder what meds she is taking then," while a third expressed, "Shame on her for not telling what drug she is taking for her weight loss."

Yet, some responses highlighted a shift toward understanding, writing, "She led people on so I'm glad she finally admitted it." Another appreciated Clarkson's candor, "I respect her for admitting it."
Others advocated for Clarkson's right to privacy with their responses. "This is HER business and her choice!" and "It's really no one's business, though."

The support continued with other social media users emphasizing the longstanding relationship between celebrities and medical assistance for personal enhancements. "Stars have been using pharmaceuticals for decades. Let her live her best life," claimed one person. Another agreed, writing, "Her body. Her choice."
Clarkson's revelation undoubtedly came as a shock to many as she previously highlighted diet and exercise as the reason for her slimming down from weighing 203 pounds at five feet and three inches tall.
We previously reported about Clarkson's candid interview where she said, "Walking in the city is quite the workout. And I'm really into infrared saunas right now. And I just got a cold plunge because everybody wore me down."
Diet is also a big factor when it comes to staying in shape, and Clarkson makes sure she eats a "healthy mix" of food. She also divulged, "I dropped weight because I've been listening to my doctor — a couple of years I didn't. And 90 percent of the time, I'm really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway."
Clarkson's drastic weight loss also came after she was nearly diagnosed with diabetes. In an episode of her talk show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show," she disclosed, "Well, I was told I was prediabetic [...] They were like, 'You're prediabetic; you're right on the borderline.' I was like, 'But I'm not there yet.' And then I waited two years [...] I was like, 'Ok, I'll do something about it.'"

Years before sharing the aforementioned details about her health and physique, Clarkson opened up about the difficult time she was going through while maintaining a lighter weight.
In a past interview, she admitted, "I was really skinny and unhappy [...] I was miserable, like inside and out, for four years of my life [...] It was a very dark time for me."

However, at her heaviest point, she was happy and living her best life. She landed her role on "The Voice" and was hired because of her talent, personality, and ability to connect with people strongly.

"It had nothing to do with my sex appeal or my look aesthetically. It had to do with me as a person. I think it's really up to artists to force people to have that mentality," she said.

It was only after years on "The Voice" that Clarkson decided to shed off the extra pounds. As of late last year, people began to notice her weight loss. On December 4, 2023, we reported how the online community reacted to her transformation.
Fans were taken aback by Kelly Clarkson's Instagram posts featuring her slimmed-down size. Many couldn't believe it was the singer and flooded her comments section with their thoughts.
Clarkson dressed to impress at the Rockefeller tree lighting ceremony during the holidays. The singer donned a black top and boots and wrapped herself in a thick, furry white coat. Completing her look, Clarkson accessorized with big diamond hoop earrings and black gloves.
The singer also quoted her famous holiday song, "Underneath the Tree," while she smiled beneath the Rockefeller Christmas tree. The official "Kelly Clarkson Show" Instagram page also shared a short clip from the event.
While she looked absolutely stunning, fans focused on how much weight the entertainer had lost over the past months. Many commented on her post, claiming that she looked nothing like the Clarkson they knew. The person who they saw in the photos was "so tiny," one claimed.

Another person stated, "You look completely different." Someone else said, "Sorry, but it doesn't look like you." Similarly, another Instagrammer asserted, "This doesn't even resemble [the] gorgeous Kelly."

Clarkson's weight loss prompted fans to speculate about her secret, wondering if it was a ketogenic diet, a workout plan, or medication. A fan wrote on her Instagram post, "No pics of working out like most celebrities do. It could only mean one thing. And since she refuse to address it, goces every reason to speculate [sic]."

Another social media user expressed, "I would love to hear how she lost the weight on her page. You can't believe any of these posts and ads." An Instagrammer asked, "Do we get to know about the secrets to your weight loss?" Still, someone else commented, "I really need to know how you lost all this weight." Another woman questioned, "Did she have a gastric sleeve or bypass?"
Back then, fans did not know much about Kelly Clarkson's weight loss secret. All she has talked about was her health journey in the past. In 2018, she revealed that she had dropped the extra pounds by watching how she cooks her food.
Because of the book, "The Plant Paradox," she became conscious of the process of making her home-cooked meals. "It's basically about how we cook our food, non-GMO, no pesticides, eating really organic," she said.
In 2019, Clarkson addressed rumors about her taking weight loss pills and going on different diets. She assured her fans that she had been consuming the same things but made them with different, all-natural ingredients. It wasn't until recently that she admitted to using a drug like Ozempic.
