Susan Lucci's social media photos spark netizens' curiosity about her altered nose, while AI-rendered images reveal what she might look like without cosmetic work. Beyond cosmetics and aging, the widow continues to show resilience in her commitment to health and wellness.
Susan Lucci, best known for her iconic role as Erica Kane on "All My Children," has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry for decades. She continues to attract attention, particularly regarding her appearance.
Recent photos of Lucci, juxtaposing her past and present looks, have surfaced on social media, prompting fans to speculate about possible plastic surgery, particularly regarding her nose. The old photo was when she was 23 and the other aged 77.

Public reactions have been a whirlwind of surprise and skepticism. One netizen quipped, "She could have kept her original nose." Another speculated, "Too many plastic surgery her nose is even different is that even her actual younger pic?[sic]"
Someone else commented, "Would have never recognized her," while another pointed out, "[Her] nose is entirely different." One user observed, "She is very pretty and has a nice smile. Her bones sticking out make her look old and scrawny."

Despite fans' mixed reactions, Lucci has always credited her youthful appearance and vibrant health to good genes and lessons from her mother, a registered nurse who believed in prevention, and doing the best with what you've got.
In a recent interview, Lucci credited her great skin to good genes and emphasized the importance of daily skincare and hydration to maintain its health.

On her approach to aging, Lucci responded with humor, "Oh, I'm kicking and screaming all the way." She is meticulous about her skincare routine, never going to bed with makeup on.

She openly shared that she consults a dermatologist regularly and uses Botox as part of her skincare routine. For her, she said the facial enhancement is a "good thing."
"My mother was a nurse, and I know that my mother believes a lot in prevention. So I thought, gee, looking ahead, maybe I could do something to prevent [lines] from happening," she explained.
Botox forms another crucial part of her anti-aging regimen, applied with a natural approach by her dermatologist, Dr. Ellen Gendler. For Lucci, aging is more about one's state of mind and body than the numerical age. She believes that strength is the cornerstone of beauty, irrespective of age.
As for her youthful essence, she attributed it to diligent self-care and the beautiful skin she inherited from her parents. Lucci has acknowledged that her good genes play a significant role in her aesthetic appeal. However, she underscored the importance of daily skincare and attuning oneself to the signals your body and face send you.
"Take care of your skin every day," she advised. She believes that if your skin looks good today and you take care of it, there's a high probability it will look good tomorrow. This simple yet effective approach to skincare is a testament to her timeless beauty.
Lucci has been candid about her use of Botox, but it’s intriguing to imagine her appearance without these enhancements. Some AI-generated photos showed what she would look like naturally, without any facial enhancements.

Besides skin care, the actress emphasized the importance of doing "the best with what you've got," encouraging everyone to stay active and prioritize wellness. Her routine includes frequent Pilates workouts and following a Mediterranean-style diet.

Pilates not only transformed Lucci's physique but also guided her towards healthier dietary choices, leading her away from unhealthy options like cheeseburgers and french fries. She commended the Pro Chair for its efficiency, enabling a comprehensive workout in a mere 20 minutes.
When she was in her late sixties, Lucci took a leap of faith and reinvented herself as a social media star and fitness influencer. Initially hesitant about Instagram due to her private nature, a vacation in St. Barts changed everything.
She posted a photo of herself in a bikini, which went viral, and the overwhelmingly positive reaction made her realize the potential of Instagram as a platform to connect with her fans.
Her status as a social media star was cemented in February 2018, when paparazzi photos of her vacationing in Sandy Lane, Barbados, were published. Rather than being upset, Lucci was delighted by the quality of the photos. She said, "The reaction was very unexpected— and so flattering."
Discipline extends to her Mediterranean diet as well. She rarely indulges in desserts or snacks and limits her intake of bread and pasta. Her typical lunch is a turkey-and-avocado sandwich, substituting bread with beefsteak tomatoes. She also restricts her alcohol intake, reserving it for special dining occasions.
Lucci's commitment to health intensified after she battled heart disease and underwent two surgeries. Despite maintaining a healthy lifestyle with regular Pilates and a Mediterranean diet, she experienced severe chest pressure and pain in October 2018.
Initially, she dismissed these symptoms, not believing she could be at risk of heart disease. Since then, she has advocated for heart health awareness.
She also urged people to ask questions and be aware of the numbers from their respective health indicators. "My numbers were good, but they didn’t indicate everything," she said.
She also suggested to those health-conscious individuals, "There's nothing I could do about that part except to keep my heart itself healthy, and that’s where the good diet and exercise applies."
Lucci's life may be filled with holistic wellness, but it hasn't been without challenges. She experienced the devastating loss of her husband, Helmut Huber, who had been by her side for 53 years. Huber, 84, passed away in 2022.

Losing the most important person in her life shifted her perspective, making her health and other aspects of life seem less important. She found herself apathetic toward everything else.
Despite the hardships, Susan Lucci remains strong, and stated, "I feel good. "I lost the love of my life, and that's been awful, but I have friends who make me laugh and keep me out and about, and I'm determined to keep putting one foot in front of the other."
