Rod Stewart Moved Wife & Little Sons to Rural Home for a Serene Life Away from His $70M LA Estate
Sir Rod Stewart moved his family to a rural home to live a serene life away from the glitz and glam of Hollywood. The British entertainer, his wife, and young sons used to live in a $70M estate in Los Angeles before choosing a different life, basking in the glow and warmth of a familial lifestyle.
Musical legend Sir Rod Stewart, 79, may be globally renowned for his classic hits and heartfelt lyrics; however, details concerning his personal life are equally intriguing. He led quite a colorful love life throughout his career, dating multiple women and getting married, before finding love with his current wife, Penny Lancaster, 53.
The pair tied the knot in 2007 and have been going strong ever since, having just celebrated their 17th anniversary (June 16). Together they live a peaceful life in the UK countryside with their two sons, Alastair Wallace and Aiden Patrick Stewart.

To commemorate their special milestone, Rod took to his Instagram Story today (June 18) to share an endearing picture of him and Penny cozied up at a beautifully decorated dinner table. "25 years together and no red cards," penned the "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" singer in a message attached to the snap.
Rod's Instagram Story is a repost of someone else's post where they shared the same picture with a different caption which reads, "Celebrating 17 years of love 🤍."
Penny, who appeared in a gorgeous rosé-colored dress, and Rod, who wore a dapper black suit jacket and white dress pants, were also celebrated by the fancy Caviar establishment where they went to mark their anniversary.

Alongside a photo of the pair posing with the establishment's sales director, Holly King, and another woman, the account captioned, "Penny & Sir Rod, it was an absolute pleasure to host you for a @kingsfinefood1 Caviar Tasting. This occasion was even more special as we celebrated your 17th wedding anniversary with you 👰🏼♀️🤵🏼♂️."
Wrapping up their message, King's Fine Food ended with, "We were truly honored to be a part of such a beautiful milestone. Congratulations to the wonderful couple! 🥂🥳❤️" While the age difference between Penny and Rod is unconventional, she believes she met him at the right time.
Before meeting Penny—an English model—in 1998, Rod had no plans of settling down. He saw her for the first time when she approached him for an autograph. Little did he know that dating her would change his perspective about relationships.

After dating the much younger woman for a couple of years, Rod proposed to her on top of the Eiffel Tower, arguably one of the world's most romantic places. The ladies' man had finally decided to spend the rest of his life with one woman.
Marrying and living with Penny has taught the "Sailing" artist the importance of respect in a marriage. Twenty years after meeting the model, Rod expressed the following about what he feels for his wife, "I am lost for words. They have not invented the words for how I feel about her. She is everything."
Once they began dating, the couple took time to understand each other. Penny once revealed that they learned to understand how things work before having children of their own. She believed the singer had learned many things during his past relationships since he had fathered many kids.
Speaking further about her husband's character, Penny praised his traditional values, expressing, "He's a gentleman, opening doors and pulling out chairs. Being respectful to women. I like the old-fashioned values."
Sadly, during their initial attempts to conceive after tying the knot, the couple suffered two miscarriages. However, hope prevailed as they eventually welcomed Alastair and Aiden.

The couple's sons have a personal soccer field where they practice their moves and learn new tips and tricks under professional supervision.

When Rod and Penny are not too busy protecting and doting on their kids, they do their best to make time for each other as a couple. Penny once spoke about how she tries her best to divide her time between her children and her husband, as she believes couples must carve out time for each other after having children.
As a result, she goes out on dates with Rod to keep the spark in their relationship alive. "Just a moment amongst the madness, he still needs attention," she previously divulged about going out for dinner, having breakfast, or spending casual time with her husband.
Besides being a loving partner to his wife, Rod Stewart is a caring father to his children, a fact that his wife agrees with. Regarding his role as a dad, Penny Lancaster said that Rod is different when he is around his children compared to the man he is at his concerts.
