Fans praised Barrymore’s unretouched yacht photos for her natural beauty at 50 — a reaction that mirrors her past reflections on embracing beauty and age without apology.

In the photos, Barrymore is wearing a stunning black one-piece swimsuit. In one image, she holds up a blue towel around her waist. Another image shows her on the yacht adjusting her swimsuit.
In a third photo she’s mid-air, dipping into the Mediterranean waters. The 50-year-old host of “The Drew Barrymore Show” seemed relaxed and care-free. Across social media, reactions were quick to come in.

Many fans highlighted Barrymore’s natural beauty. "She looks fantastic!" wrote one fan on Instagram, with another noting that "She looks 50 and a mature beauty."
Fans on Facebook shared much the same sentiment. "You look great Drew. Beautiful and natural!" one netizen commented, while another remarked that "She looks healthy and fabulous!!!"
Barrymore’s natural beauty at 50 was frequently brought up. One fan said that "She’s 50 and looks healthy and free," with another asking, "Isn’t she like 50 something? She looks great and is one of the most likable people."
"I'm absolutely loving - seeing these women of these age ranges, finally starting to relax. She is a lovely women [sic] too. Good for her ❤️," one netizen added. However, not everyone was stunned — one user chimed in to say that "It doesn’t look much like her to me."
Barrymore has previously opened up about her relationship with aging. In a clip shared on Instagram in April 2025 by "The Drew Barrymore Show," an audience member asked her for her secret to aging and being comfortable in her own skin.
The actress said that she hasn’t done anything special, and wishes to keep things that way — but that she also understands and approves of other women doing whatever works for them.

She admitted that sometimes, she can be very critical of her own looks, yet at times she can feel quite the opposite. "I don’t really have a tip necessarily, other than I want to tell myself not to be so mean to myself," said Barrymore, adding:
"A smile is better than any lipstick you’ll buy, and an internal dialogue that isn’t so eviscerating of ourselves and so quick to catch a flaw."

"Who says that’s the flaw, by the way? That might be someone else’s favorite thing about you. How ironic. It isn’t how you look — it’s how you feel," she concluded.
Barrymore is no stranger to openly discussing the subject of aging. Back in May 2024, speaking to Hannah Waddingham on "The Drew Barrymore Show," she shared an anecdote from another family getaway.
She revealed that on a trip to the beach with her daughters, her thoughts were circling back to her appearance. “I'm not vain, but I'm still a woman, I'm still normal, I still have the same, you know, thoughts about my cottage cheese thighs,” she said.
However, she didn’t let that stop her. “So I got up, and I literally pulled my swimsuit out of my butt, and I ran to that beach, literally my body just swinging in the wind, and I thought, ‘I just don’t care anymore,’” Barrymore told Waddingham.
Her perspective wasn’t developed overnight, though. For Barrymore, it’s been a lifelong journey. “As a kid, and even in my 20s and 30s, happiness seemed like this very giddy, excited optimism,” she told People in a 2022 interview.
After living through her 40s, her perception of happiness evolved. “It is a choice. You have to work for that. It is hard to get to some days. And so when you've harnessed it, that feels like such a better victory,” she explained.
Speaking of her 40s, she said that it "has been the best decade of my life, without question.” "It wasn't just the most awesome, it was the one where I feel like I've slayed more dragons than I ever have in my whole life," she declared.
These yacht getaway photos seem to capture that new era — a grounded woman who chooses happiness, every time.
