Daughter of Three-Time Super Bowl Champion Kevin Faulk Dies Unexpectedly
Adding another layer of heartbreak to the immense loss is the fact that the famous sports star's daughter's death was preceded by that of her younger sister.
A tight-knit Louisiana town has been rocked by yet another crushing loss as the family of football icon Kevin Faulk faces unthinkable heartbreak — his 30-year-old daughter, Tanasha Faulk, tragically passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
The Faulk Family Shattered, Again
While the cause of Tanasha's death has not yet been released, authorities have confirmed that no foul play is suspected.
A 2014 graduate of Carencro High School, Tanasha was known for her close ties to her hometown and her unwavering devotion to her family — especially her three young daughters.
"Being their mother brought her so much joy and [sic] she was immensely proud watching them grow and learn," her obituary reads. "Tanasha also found joy in holidays, birthdays, family gatherings, and especially Mardi Gras. She loved to cook and was happiest when preparing meals that brought people together. Her generosity, laughter, and loving nature created a sense of home wherever she went."

Tanasha's Memorial
Now, as the Faulk family prepares to lay their daughter to rest, they once again find themselves surrounded by the weight of grief — and the unwavering support of a community that has watched them endure the unimaginable.
Funeral services for Tanasha will be held on Saturday, December 13, at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carencro, where Tanasha had been a devoted parishioner throughout her life.

Visiting hours will begin at 8 a.m., with the Rev. Monsignor Ronald Broussard officiating the Mass. Musical selections will be provided by Jimmy Joubert, and interment will follow at Evangeline Memorial Gardens.
Born on January 23, 1995, Tanasha was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro — a town where her name and presence were deeply felt. Her obituary reflects the deep love she gave and received in return, describing her as someone "known for her vibrant spirit, her deep devotion to those she loved, and the joy she brought to everyone around her."
Tanasha's Love Lives On
That devotion was most evident in her role as a mother to three young daughters — Ava Shelvin, Jornell Zenon, and Jaida Louis — who are dubbed the "greatest blessings of her life."
The tribute honors not only the life Tanasha lived, but also the legacy of love and togetherness she leaves behind. "Tanasha will be remembered for her kindness [...] Her memory will live on in the hearts of her beautiful girls and family," the heartfelt dedication notes.
Tanasha is survived by her daughters, her longtime companion of five years, Isaac Louis, her parents, her sister, Tionne Lewis, her two brothers, Tavion Faulk and Kevin Faulk III, and a wide circle of extended family — including her nephews, grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins — all of whom shared in the joy of her life and now mourn her absence.
Tanasha was also the oldest daughter of Kevin and Latisha Faulk, a couple whose bond dates back to their middle school years.
Kevin, a beloved figure in Louisiana sports history, rose to prominence as a state championship quarterback at Carencro High in 1992 before achieving All-American status at Louisiana State University (LSU) and later winning three Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots. He also served as an assistant coach at LSU, further cementing his legacy both on and off the field.

It's Not the First Loss the Faulk Family Has Endured
Her passing echoes a grief the Faulk family has known too well. In September 2021, Tanasha's younger sister, Kevione Faulk, died at the age of 19 while serving as a student worker for LSU's football program.

The pain of losing a second daughter is also compounded by an earlier tragedy: the loss of Tanasha's infant brother, Kevin Faulk Jr.
"She is welcomed into Heaven by her sister, Kevione Tronsha Faulk and infant brother, Kevin Faulk, Jr.," her obituary divulges.
Kevione's sudden passing years ago, like her sister's now, came without a publicly disclosed cause, leaving both the community and the campus in stunned grief.
"We are heartbroken with the passing of Kevione Faulk, and our thoughts and prayers are with the Faulk family," LSU said in an official statement at the time. "She was a part of the LSU family, and we mourn the loss of a daughter, a sister, a friend, a classmate and [sic] a colleague."
LSU head football coach Ed Orgeron also paid tribute, remembering her presence and energy within the program. "Her smile and personality will be sorely missed in our building," he wrote. "May she Rest In Peace."
The loss of Kevione was a staggering blow — not only for the Faulks, but for all who had come to know her on campus and in the Louisiana football world. Now, with the family mourning a second daughter, that earlier tragedy casts a long, aching shadow over this latest heartbreak.
A Final Instagram Post
What makes Tanasha's sudden passing even more difficult to grasp is how vibrant and full of life she appeared just weeks before her death. In October, she shared what would become her final Instagram post — a carousel of photos and videos capturing a joyful night out at a concert.
Wearing a white top, black leather shorts, and matching boots, Tanasha radiated confidence and carefree energy.

One photo shows her striking a pose in red sunglasses beneath city lights. Meanwhile, in the brief videos, she's seen singing along enthusiastically as the artist performed on stage — her spirit as lively as ever.

Alongside the images, she included a confident, defiant caption, "No Matter How You Add It Up, We're not Equal!!! ❤️ 💫." It was a bold and unapologetic message, one that reflected the personality so many loved her for — strong, spirited, and unafraid to be seen.
At this time, we wish to extend our most heartfelt condolences to Kevin, Latisha, Tionne, Tavion, Kevin III, Tanasha's daughters, Isaac, the entire Faulk family, Tanasha's friends, other loved ones, and the community as they mourn such a significant loss. We hope for their healing amid their time of grief. RIP, dear Tanasha.
