Daughter of Three-Time Super Bowl Champion Kevin Faulk Dies Unexpectedly
Adding another layer of heartbreak to the immense loss is the fact that the famous sports star's daughter's death was preceded by that of her sister years ago.
A tight-knit Louisiana town has been rocked by yet another crushing loss as the family of football icon Kevin Faulk and his wife, Latisha Faulk, faces unthinkable heartbreak — their 30-year-old daughter tragically passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
Tanasha Faulk Dies Suddenly at 30; No Foul Play Suspected
The unexpected loss has sent waves of grief through the Carencro, Louisiana, community, where Tanasha Faulk was a beloved daughter, mother, and friend. As of now, no cause of death has been disclosed, and authorities confirmed that no foul play is suspected.
Tanasha was a 2014 graduate of Carencro High School and a lifelong resident of the area. She was the second daughter Kevin and Latisha have lost in recent years — their younger daughter, Kevione Faulk, passed away suddenly in 2021 at just 19 years old while working as a student assistant for the football program at Louisiana State University (LSU).
A devoted mother to three daughters, Tanasha is remembered in her obituary for the love and light she brought to her family and community.
"Being their mother brought her so much joy and [sic] she was immensely proud watching them grow and learn," her obituary reads. "Tanasha also found joy in holidays, birthdays, family gatherings, and especially Mardi Gras. She loved to cook and was happiest when preparing meals that brought people together. Her generosity, laughter, and loving nature created a sense of home wherever she went."
Final Goodbye: Funeral Services Set for Saturday
A funeral service for Tanasha will take place on Saturday, December 13, at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carencro. Visiting hours begin at 8 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at Evangeline Memorial Gardens.
Monsignor Ronald Broussard will officiate the service, and musical selections will be provided by Jimmy Joubert. Tanasha was born on January 23, 1995. She was deeply rooted in her community, both spiritually and socially, and known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering devotion to her loved ones.
From Friday Night Lights to a Father's Worst Nightmare
Kevin and Latisha, who have been together since middle school, also share a son, Kevin Faulk III. Kevin's legacy in Louisiana is storied — from leading Carencro High to a state championship in 1992, to becoming an All-American running back at LSU, and eventually winning three Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots.
He later served as an assistant coach at LSU, continuing his dedication to the sport and state. More details on the story will follow shortly.
