Family Member Reportedly Made the Grim Discovery as Speculation Mounts

According to multiple sources speaking to People magazine, the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, was the one who made the horrific discovery. Those same sources said the couple was killed by their son, Nick Reiner.

The Los Angeles Police Department's (LAPD) Robbery-Homicide Division is investigating the case. Authorities have not announced any arrests or filed charges, and they have not confirmed the alleged family connection publicly.

Law enforcement sources previously told TMZ that the victims suffered lacerations consistent with a knife attack, a chilling detail that has stunned Hollywood.

Nick has spoken openly about his struggles with drug addiction. In a 2016 interview with People, he revealed that his past inspired the semi-autobiographical film "Being Charlie," which he co-wrote.

A Storied Career Ends in Unimaginable Tragedy

Rob first rose to fame as Michael "Meathead" Stivic in "All in the Family", winning two Emmy Awards. He later cemented his place in Hollywood history with films like "This Is Spinal Tap", "Stand by Me", "The Princess Bride", "Misery", and "A Few Good Men".

He met Michele, a photographer, while directing "When Harry Met Sally...". The couple married in 1989 and raised three children together.
