'Dancing With the Stars' Judge Derek Hough and Wife Hayley Erbert Welcome Their First Child — Photo
A video of a rainbow days earlier and a photo shared on social media marked the joyful arrival of the "Dancing With the Stars" judge and his wife's first child.
Derek Hough and his wife, Hayley Erbert, have become parents, and fans, along with his "DWTS" colleagues, are celebrating with them after a touching Instagram post marked the arrival of their newborn.
But before the big reveal, there was a moment that hinted at something special.

On December 24, 2025, just days before the announcement, the couple posted a video from a peaceful outdoor setting. After a light rainfall, a rainbow appeared across the sky, and they saw it as a "sign" rather than a coincidence.
"Maybe it's our little one’s way of saying hello with a grand entrance. Our little rainbow baby , we're ready to meet you 🌈," Hough wrote. The clip stirred excitement among online followers.
Then, on January 5, 2026, the couple shared a black-and-white image showing them gently holding their newborn's feet. The caption read, "Every step of our lives has led us to you. Our hearts have been cracked wide open and our world is forever changed."
They revealed her name: Everley Capri Hough, born on December 29.
The post received more than one million likes, along with heartfelt messages. "Those look like dancing feet! Congratulations 🎉," wrote former DWTS host Tom Bergeron. "Welcome to the world sweet angel Everley 💗," added current DWTS host Julianne Hough.
Additionally, dancer and TV personality Kateryna Klishyna commented, "What a beautiful name! Huge congratulations 😍💗," while another fan echoed, "Look at those dancing feet." Someone else chimed in, "Sweet feet with no mileage, many happy adventures to you!!!"
The couple announced their pregnancy in July 2025 with a softly lit Instagram video. Set against a scenic backdrop, the clip opened with Erbert standing across from Hough in an off-the-shoulder gown, smiling warmly.
The two then embraced in a quiet moment, and the video closed with Erbert holding up a strip of ultrasound images over Hough's shoulder. "We can't believe the biggest thing to happen to us could be so small ♥️," she wrote in the caption.
The baby's arrival carried even more emotional weight following a serious health scare in December 2023. Hough revealed on Instagram that during a tour stop in Washington, D.C., Erbert became disoriented backstage and was rushed to the hospital.
Doctors diagnosed her with a cranial hematoma caused by a burst blood vessel, requiring an emergency craniectomy to relieve pressure on her brain. Erbert was later reported to be in stable condition.
In a separate post, Hough later confirmed that her surgery had gone smoothly, sharing a photo of himself seated at her hospital bedside, gently leaning over her with quiet support.
"With immense relief, gratitude and overwhelming joy I'd like to share that Hayley's cranioplasty surgery has been successfully completed as planned," he wrote, thanking the medical team, including Dr. Mai, who had also saved her life two weeks earlier.
Hough shared how deeply moved they were by the outpouring of support during his wife's recovery. Messages of encouragement, prayers, and well-wishes had offered them real comfort through uncertainty.
He acknowledged the surgery as a major turning point in her healing and credited the love from their community as a source of strength. Looking ahead, he expressed hope for her full recovery and gratitude for the continued support surrounding their family.
In October 2024, Extra TV reported Erbert's emotional return to the ballroom after her near-fatal medical emergency. Reflecting on the night she suffered a brain bleed, Hough said she was "essentially dying" when she collapsed and began having seizures backstage.
Over a year later, on December 7, 2025, Erbert marked the second anniversary of her emergency brain surgery with a deeply personal reflection. She wrote:
"I’ve gone through every human emotion imaginable, the kind that cracks you open and the kind that puts you back together. I’ve reclaimed parts of myself I thought I’d never find again, rediscovered who I am, and moved through seasons of loss, triumph, joy, endless fear, grief, healing, and quiet hope."
She also reflected on the contrast between her past and present. The same body that had once fought to survive was now nurturing new life, a full-circle moment that, for Erbert, underscored not only her recovery but her transformation into a mother.
As Hough and Erbert quietly settle into life with their newborn daughter, another couple is celebrating a first-time arrival of their own.
As previously reported, "The King of Staten Island" star Pete Davidson and his model girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson. The couple shared a heartfelt Instagram post featuring scenes from the hospital and their home, which quickly drew admiration online.

Their daughter was born on December 12 last year. The announcement came in the form of a carousel of deeply intimate photos. Elsie described Scottie as "our perfect angel girl" and said "my best work yet, i am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief." Pete kept his caption short but personal, "wu tang forever."
One of the first photos captured Elsie standing by a large window, holding her newborn and looking down at her baby, with a snow-covered landscape behind them.

Netizens reacted with awe at the couple's milestone. Many believed the name Scottie Rose carried deep meaning. One commenter suggested that Scottie was likely named after Pete's father and called it the sweetest gesture, and sent the couple warm congratulations.
Another commenter wrote, "I'm crying named after his Dad. Beautiful," while a second added, "Congratulations, what a blessing absolutely love the name!!!" Someone else chimed in, "the most perfect girl to exist!!!!!"
