Lawyer Who Dropped Nick Reiner Breaks Silence – Here's What He Said
Attorney Alan Jackson has spoken out after stepping away from the explosive double-murder case that has gripped headlines across the nation.
Jackson had previously represented Nick Reiner, who stands accused of brutally stabbing his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, to death. The high-profile attorney chose to break his silence during a recent appearance on the podcast "Hot Mics with Billy Bush."
Refuses to Speak for Reiner
During the interview, host Billy Bush pressed Jackson on whether he had anything to share on behalf of his former client. Jackson's answer left no room for confusion.

"No. No. Um, I don't speak on Nick's behalf at this point. I speak as a private citizen at this juncture, right?" he said. "I've been withdrawn from his representation. So, I don't speak for Nick."
Jackson explained his ongoing silence is rooted in strict professional obligations. "I've said all that I would be willing to say, all that I think is legally and ethically correct. I'm bound by legal and ethical restrictions. And so I've said as much as I can say. People are going to speculate."

Bush went on to highlight Jackson's long-standing reputation for ethics and consistency. Jackson responded with measured restraint. "I know that there's parameters," Jackson said. "There's borders that I can work within, and there's borders that I should not cross, and I'm not going to cross them, not for anybody."
Loyalty Despite Withdrawal
Though Jackson is no longer on the case, he made it clear that his loyalty to Reiner remains. "I'm not going to do anything or say anything that I think would compromise a former client. I always have fealty and loyalty to any client, even if they are a former client."
He wrapped up the discussion with a firm boundary, stating that he would not comment about Nick Reiner's case further due to legal and ethical constraints.
