Anne Hathaway Arrives for a Dinosaur-Filled Premiere

The actress stars opposite Ewan McGregor in the sci-fi thriller, playing Denise, a mother whose ordinary suburban life takes an extraordinary turn after a cosmic event mysteriously relocates her family's home. According to Variety, Denise and her husband, Greg, must leave their house in search of their dog, Starbuck, while their two children remain behind.

But their attempt to return home quickly becomes much more dangerous when they discover that their neighborhood has been dropped into a world populated by dinosaurs. The movie was directed by David Robert Mitchell, with J.J. Abrams producing under his Bad Robot banner. Maisy Stella and Christian Convery play Hathaway and McGregor's children.

A special preview of the movie recently showed journalists and influencers 14 minutes of footage in 4DX, including a dinosaur chase that had the theater audience's seats moving and water spraying from behind them.

Mitchell explained that the idea was to place something fantastical into an ordinary suburban setting. Abrams, meanwhile, emphasized that beneath the dinosaur spectacle is a family story about characters carrying secrets and personal struggles.

The End of Oak Street is scheduled to hit theaters on August 14, with the film also set for IMAX and select 4DX screenings. But as Hathaway posed for photographers at the premiere, the movie's dinosaurs weren't the only thing attracting attention.

Then the Cameras Caught Her Look From Every Angle

Hathaway chose a pale blue look for the premiere, pairing a structured sleeveless top with a dramatic train that flowed behind her. Her hair was pulled into a sleek ponytail, while red lipstick and dangling earrings provided striking touches against the soft-colored outfit.

A third image offered another view as Hathaway walked across the event space. The long train follows Hathaway across the grass as she walks past a dinosaur prop from the movie's promotional setup. The playful background provides a reminder of the film's premise, while the unusual combination of gown, jeans and bright shoes remains the focus of the image.

The photographs also make another detail difficult to miss: Hathaway's growing baby bump beneath the striking ensemble.

Her Baby Bump Becomes the Center of Attention

The reaction to the images, however, was mixed. One commenter questioned the appearance of Hathaway's bump, writing, "That looks like a fake silicone baby bump you can buy on Amazon don’t believe me? Search it up 😂"

Another asked, "This is so, so beyond weird, right?!?" A third commenter wrote, "That belly looks fake! Sorry but something is off." Someone else questioned the shape of Hathaway's stomach, writing, "Her belly does not look like a pregnant woman’s belly…what is going on here?" Another person suggested, "That must be a very high bump."

The speculation continued, with one commenter asking, "Is that a fake bump? Seriously it looks it." Not everyone had a skeptical reaction to the photographs.

A separate post celebrating Hathaway's appearance described her as "✨glowing✨" at the world premiere of The End of Oak Street. One commenter declared, "Best pregnancy look ever." Another viewer had a less enthusiastic response, writing, "Noo we see to much! Well sometime you see more and it's beautiful but not in that outfit [sic]."

Someone else questioned the appearance of the bump again, asking, "Is that a fake stomach? That baby bump doesn’t look right🥺 AI???" The speculation is just that — online speculation — rather than evidence that anything is unusual about Hathaway's pregnancy. What is confirmed is that the actress is expecting her third child.

Hathaway's Pregnancy Came After a Difficult Fertility Journey

Recall that Hathaway confirmed in June that she and husband Adam Shulman are expecting their third child, sharing the news through an Instagram video just as her busiest year in film was already underway. In the touching video, set to Barbara Lewis' "Baby, I'm Yours," she walked into view wearing a white gown before revealing her baby bump and smiling at the camera.

The couple, who married in 2012, already share two sons, Jonathan and Jack. The pregnancy announcement also carried particular significance because Hathaway has previously spoken candidly about difficulties conceiving.

In 2019, while announcing her pregnancy with Jack, she wrote that her path to both pregnancies had not been a straight line and sent extra love to people experiencing infertility.

Hathaway later revealed that she had experienced a miscarriage in 2015 while performing in the off-Broadway play Grounded. Speaking to Vanity Fair, she described the experience as painful, particularly because she was portraying pregnancy and childbirth onstage every night.

She has also spoken about the isolation and self-doubt that can accompany fertility struggles. Hathaway has generally kept her children away from the spotlight as well, explaining that protecting their privacy is important not only for them but for her family as a whole.

Now, she is preparing to become a mother of three while simultaneously moving through one of the busiest years of her acting career.

Five Movies Make 2026 a Very Busy Year for Hathaway

Hathaway's pregnancy comes during what has effectively become a five-film year for the actress. The 43-year-old actress currently has no fewer than five major films arriving in 2026.

Her packed slate includes Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey, The End of Oak Street, and Verity.

It's a level of professional momentum few actors experience in a single year.

That combination of career success and growing family has become one of the most talked-about aspects of Hathaway's announcement.

For many observers, the news highlights a broader shift in Hollywood, where actresses increasingly continue major projects while expecting children.

Stars including Gal Gadot and Scarlett Johansson famously filmed blockbuster productions during their pregnancies, often with the help of creative camera angles and costume adjustments.

Now, Hathaway appears poised to join that conversation while balancing a packed release schedule and preparations for a new baby.

The announcement also reflects how dramatically celebrity pregnancy reveals have evolved.

Not long ago, major stars often reserved personal milestones for glossy magazine covers and exclusive interviews.

Today, many choose to speak directly to fans through social media, maintaining complete control over the narrative.

Beyoncé's record-breaking Instagram pregnancy announcement in 2017 helped redefine the blueprint, and Hathaway's reveal follows that same direct-to-audience approach.

For someone who has long guarded her family's privacy, the decision feels particularly fitting.

Throughout her career, Hathaway has largely kept her children out of the spotlight.

That careful balance between openness and privacy has become one of the defining features of her public life.

And perhaps that's why this latest announcement resonated so strongly.

As Hathaway prepares for the arrival of baby No. 3 with Shulman, one thing is clear: 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most memorable years of her life — both on screen and off.
