SoulPancake is the media and production company of Rainn Wilson, an American actor. It is best known for the tagline: "We make stuff that matters."

On July 23, 2012, SoulPancake launched a YouTube channel that creates uplifting content.

As reported by Huffington Post, they teamed up with Purina Puppy Chow in March 2016 to share an inspiring video of people who received a surprise visit from puppies.

The video is called Can Puppies Fix Boredom? #PowerofPuppies. It has been viewed more than 4.9 million times as of March 22, 2018.

"We wanted to celebrate the launch of our new Puppy Chow Natural formula by demonstrating the power puppies have to naturally brighten anyone's ordinary and mundane day," said Keith Peterfeso, Brand Manager for Purina Dog Chow, according to Purina's press release.

Peterfeso added that they are happy to team up with SoulPancake because they create adorable contents.

"SoulPancake is known for its interactive, joyful and surprising social experiments. So when Puppy Chow asked us how we would celebrate the power of puppies, we were so excited to partner up!" said Golriz Luna, Chief Creative Officer at SoulPancake.

SoulPancake and Purina Puppy Chow announced that for every video view, between March 23, 2016, and April 23, 2016, Purina will donate one pound of Puppy Chow Natural to Rescue Bank, a nonprofit organization that donates supplies to animal rescues and shelters.

Before April 23, 2016, Purina donated up to 500,000 pounds of food, according to Huffington Post.

In 2008, SoulPancake was founded by actor Rainn Wilson, Aviv Hadar, Joshua Homnick and Devon Gundry.

The original concept was based on a video series, but they later decided to expand it into a multiplatform media company.

It was named one of Fast Company's 10 Most Innovative Companies in Video for 2015 and was ranked #114 on the 2015 Inc. 500 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America List.

SoulPancake became a subsidiary of Participant Media on October 13, 2016.
