Winter may be over and spring is just around the corner, but 38-year-old Grammy-winning artist, Pink is not feeling its effects yet. She was in Montreal promoting her latest album, ‘Beautiful Trauma,’ but she’s had to cancel her plans because an awful flu virus hit her and her entire family hard.
As the Daily Mail reports, the Just Like Fire artist whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, tweeted her apology to her fans, saying she, her two children - six-year-old daughter Willow and one-year-old son Jameson, and 42-year-old husband Carey Hart were down with the flu.
'I am absolutely GUTTED to announce that tomorrow's show, March 23 (Friday) will be postponed. I will absolutely be back to perform for you all and I'm grateful for you wanting to come and be with us at all. Our entire family has been battling this awful virus/flu and I have battled my way through because postponing sucks.’
She apologized for not being able to carry on any further, saying that Carey had been sent home to get better while she and the kids soldiered on.
Pink has had to deal with the flu before when she almost canceled plans to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She posted on Instagram that she had caught the flu from her 'two small Petri dish kids who literally cough INTO [HER] MOUTH and rub their snot on [her] cheek.'
Pink may be down for now but she is not bowing out. She is tentatively scheduled to return on stage on Sunday evening in Detroit at the Little Ceasars Arena.
We wish her and her family quick recovery. Talk to us in comments.
