TikToker Riziki Ilenre Dies – Police Launch Investigation

The sudden death of a young content creator has left followers shaken and authorities searching for answers, as disturbing claims continue to circulate online.

Authorities in Montgomery, Alabama, are investigating the death of TikTok content creator Riziki Ilenre, who passed away on December 12, 2025.

Her death has sparked intense concern across social media due to the alleged public nature of the incident and a flood of unanswered questions about what may have led up to it.

Online Claims Spark Police Scrutiny

Riziki had built a notable following on TikTok before her account was deleted, so the shock was immediate and widespread. But unlike other influencer deaths, netizens quickly zeroed in on what they believed made this case different.

A wave of people reportedly contacted authorities to claim that Riziki had taken her own life during a livestream on the platform after enduring severe online bullying. Those allegations spread rapidly and added urgency to the situation.

According to TMZ, the claims prompted the Montgomery Police Department to open a formal investigation. As of December 17, officials said they could not confirm the reported circumstances surrounding her death. Additionally, her family has declined to comment.

Riziki was known for using her platform to openly discuss mental health. Her Facebook and Instagram pages remain active, showing smiling photos and moments of joy, many featuring her service dog, Chief.

Furthermore, her LinkedIn profile shows she was a student at Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology and completed her degree this year.

Tributes Reveal a Life of Purpose and Pain

As the investigation continues, tributes have poured in. Her Instagram has been flooded with condolences, along with anguished messages questioning who could have caused her so much pain.

A few who knew her personally have shared especially emotional remembrances. On December 13, pastor Walter D'Andre Green posted that he was struggling to even write about her passing.

He said Riziki had worked with him as a social media director, photographer, and ministry intern, but their bond went far deeper.

"She was my daughter -- not biologically, but absolutely spiritually," he wrote. "Her smile was infectious. Her grit and determination were unmatched. Her loyalty and honor were unwavering."

Walter described watching her grow from a student into someone preparing for a legal career, praising her passion for debate and her relentless pursuit of truth. He also said she loved deeply and without hesitation.

"Moments like this stretch you in ways no seminary ever could," he continued. "[...] You wonder if you could have done more, prayed more, given more. And then you're reminded that there are some hearts so bruised by this world that only God Himself can fully heal them."

He ended by thanking those who reached out and expressing hope that Riziki had finally found peace.

A Second Goodbye

Walter's wife, Shawnnetta Green, shared her own tribute on December 14, describing how her emotions had swung wildly since hearing the news.

She explained that while she usually keeps strict boundaries around her family, Riziki was an exception. She was like a daughter to her and a big sister to her daughter, Riley.

"You were often misunderstood, but you were a loving and caring person who could make me laugh without even trying. Oh, and your laugh! Your laugh was infectious. You encouraged others when you needed to be encouraged yourself," she wrote.

Shawnnetta revealed she still had a voicemail from Riziki left in January 2024, one she never deleted despite routinely clearing her inbox. It was an ordinary message, but one she listened to one last time.

She ended her post with a message directly to Riziki, saying she was deeply loved and apologizing for the pain she endured.

"I found an old text thread between us, and I wasn't lying - I do care," she wrote. "I pray you've found the peace you so desperately wanted and deserved."

As previously reported, Maurice Harrison, a 21-year-old transgender social media sensation adored by nearly 300,000 followers under the name "Girlalala," was allegedly shot and killed during a domestic dispute with her longtime boyfriend on November 14, 2025, in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.

Authorities confirmed that 25-year-old Shanoyd Whyte Jr. was swiftly arrested, and now Maurice's devastated family and friends are crying out for justice.

A Beloved Creator's Final Moments

Emergency crews in Broward County received a medical call around 7 p.m. on Friday from a home in the 3300 block of Northwest 37th Street. Deputies and fire rescue teams raced to the scene, where they discovered Maurice slumped in the front passenger seat of a Tesla.

She had suffered several gunshot wounds and was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center, where the victim was pronounced dead.

Detectives from the Homicide and Crimes units immediately launched a painstaking investigation, recovering the weapon that night and taking Shanoyd into custody.

A Volatile Relationship Laid Bare

Reports reveal that the victim and the suspect had been romantically involved for years. But what began as a verbal argument in the car spiraled into a physical confrontation, and at some point inside that vehicle, Maurice was shot.

Friends of Maurice told WPLG Local 10 that although the pair had been together for quite some time, their relationship had always been volatile.

But in a heartbreaking twist, those same friends turned over a key piece of evidence. They had provided investigators with the Tesla door camera video, which allegedly captured the influencer's last moments in haunting clarity.

Surveillance footage shared by NBC News shows Shanoyd exiting the car with a weapon in his hand. Maurice, reportedly in the passenger seat, appears to be trying to get out, though the suspect is then seen pushing her back into the vehicle.

Shanoyd now sits inside the Broward Sheriff's Office main jail on a no-bond hold, facing a charge of first-degree murder.

A Family Drowning in Grief

Maurice's family, too overwhelmed with grief to speak publicly, released a short but deeply emotional statement to the press:

"As a family, we appreciate every prayer, kind thought, and gesture during our time of bereavement. Now, we are just praying that justice is served to the fullest degree."

The heartbreak compounds an already devastating year for the family, as they were still mourning the loss of Maurice's brother, who was killed by gun violence just last year.

She also ran a more casual daily account with over 60,000 followers and another dedicated to her hair extension business and hairstyling craft.

But TikTok is where she truly shone. Nearly 300,000 people followed her charismatic updates about the joys and chaos of everyday life. One post even featured several loving photos with Shanoyd, a bittersweet reminder of the relationship that ended so tragically.

Now, her comment sections are flooded with thousands of condolence messages from fans who cannot accept that the bright, bold creator they adored is gone.

Mourned By Another Star

One especially tender tribute came from artist JT, who shared a video highlighting Maurice's sharp rapping talent and penned a moving caption.

"Rest beautiful girlala! We love you & Heaven will never be boring now that you are there, your boldness, energy, humor & beauty will be missed!" the singer wrote. "You never missed a chance to show me love & for that I'm forever grateful."

The tribute continued with a powerful message about how society treats violence against transgender women and Black women:

"We have to stop thinking things are funny because of the way the story is told! If you see content about DV don't laugh because it's a trans or black woman. We have a way of laughing through our pain because we have been shaped to be taken as jokes!"
