Macaulay Culkin is spotted with Paris Jackson and her female lover as they enjoy a double date
Paris evidently has her godfather's approval concerning her budding romance with actress Cara Delevigne.
She lost her father, Michael Jackson when she was only 11 years old and now Paris Jackson has chosen to turn to her godfather Macaulay Culkin, for his much-needed support now that she’s forging a relationship with actress/model Cara Delevigne.
On Thursday night, the 19-year-old bonded with her father’s best friend over a double date with Cara and Macaulay’s girlfriend Brenda Strong. According to the Daily Mail, the relaxed foursome had dinner at upscale Argentinian steakhouse Carlito’s in West Hollywood before taking their date to the street for some PDA.
Paris and Cara appeared to be comfortable showing off their love for each other as they danced by the sidewalk and even shared a kiss. Cara was also spotted sitting on Paris’ lap as they smoked and chatted with Macaulay and Brenda who also had their arms around each other. At one point Cara was also photographed hugging the 37-year-old actor before saying their goodbyes.
It’s been almost a year since Paris met Cara at the MTV Music Awards last May and while rumors began circulating about their romance since then, it was only recently that the Jackson heir publicized her relationship on Instagram.
Meanwhile, her close ties with the ‘Home Alone’ star go a long way back. Macaulay was anointed by his good friend Michael as Paris’ godfather when he was only a teenager. After the legendary entertainer died, he took his role seriously, most specially after Paris’ other godparent, Elizabeth Taylor, also passed away two years after Michael died.
Estranged with his own father, Macaulay who doesn’t have kids of his own admitted to having lost his virginity at an early age of 15. Speaking on the ‘Anna Faris is Unqualified’ podcast, he also revealed he would want his own children to grow up differently and expected them to lose their virginity after they’re married.
“I’d say about 32. I want them to wait till they’re married.”
Meanwhile, Paris has had quite a troubled past after her father’s demise. Growing up with her grandparents, she struggled with the change and shifted from home schooling to a private school which she later regretted. She also admitted to being sexually abused by a stranger when she was just 14 and committing suicide multiple times while self-harming and doing drugs.
Due to her troubles, she was sent to a therapeutic residential program where she completed school. She later admitted that her experience there was “great” for her well-being.
With Macaulay as her father figure today, Paris has a friend and protector. Earlier this year, the former child star confessed he could be quite protective when it comes to Paris and cautioned others about it. He told Marc Maron in his WTF podcast,
“I’m going to warn you now, I am very protective of her so just look out.
“I am a very open book when it comes to things but like with her, she is beloved by me.”
Luckily for Paris, she can always count on her godfather to support her and be there for her and that’s why she’s always had a soft spot for him.
