Identity Thief actress Melissa McCarthy has had her name on everyone’s lips recently and it’s not only for her ability to make people laugh but her stunning weight loss.
The comedienne who recently lost 75 pounds from a ketogenic diet has been the talk of the town as her new figure has been stealing the spotlight in her new movies.
In the time leading up to the release of one of her new movies ‘Life of the Party’, Melissa decided to embark on a weight loss journey using the Keto diet plan. And although the plan is widely criticized by nutritional experts, it worked well for her as she lost 75 pounds in preparation for her new role.
Melissa McCarthy was so thrilled by her progress that she may have called it the best thing she’s ever done!
Melissa plays the role of Deanna in ‘Life of the Party’. Deanna is a geeky character who gets a makeover and heads back to college with her teenage daughter after splitting from her husband.
The movie Life of the Party isn’t the only movie Melissa broke grounds in as she also turned heads with her figure in another new film, ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’.
Melissa performed outstandingly in the movie as seen in the trailer but fans couldn’t keep their tongues from wagging about how different she looked because of her weight loss.
Despite all the praises from fans about how incredible she looks, McCarthy hasn’t floated to cloud nine as she still strongly believes a woman must be able to embrace their body image regardless of their weight.
In support of her belief, Melissa created her own clothing line for women of all sizes and shapes when she couldn’t find a designer to create an Oscars gown for her size.
She also encouraged her fans not to view her weight loss as the most significant part of her life as she didn’t lose weight just to fit in for new roles but to become a positive role model for her children and to live a long and healthy life.
Melissa has sure done well for herself.
