During the Elton John AIDS Foundation's Oscars viewing party on March 15, Sharon addressed the latest wave of criticism aimed at Kelly Osbourne.

Asked about her daughter clapping back at cruel online comments, Sharon did not mince words. "People that give it out have to get it back," she said.

The blunt remark comes as mounting attention has fixed on Kelly's recent transformation, especially her noticeable weight loss in recent months, with social media users dissecting every photo and every public appearance.

A Family's Pain Behind the Headlines

Sharon had previously offered heartbreaking context. In December 2025, she said her daughter had been struggling in the wake of the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne. Speaking on "Piers Morgan Uncensored," she explained that grief had taken a devastating toll on Kelly's appetite.

"She's lost her daddy... she can't eat right now," Sharon said, while also condemning the vicious commentary about her daughter's looks.

Kelly, for her part, has not stayed silent. In February, she directly addressed body-shaming remarks shared on social media after one post branded her "too thin and fragile" and cruelly compared her to a "dead body."

"Literally can't believe how disgusting some human beings truly are," she wrote at the time. "No one deserves this sort of abuse."

As the backlash drags on, the conversation has moved beyond the comments themselves and toward the stark changes in Kelly's appearance - and the painful circumstances surrounding them.

The uproar intensified after Kelly's appearance at the 2026 BRIT Awards, when images of her quickly spread across the internet and unleashed a fresh round of savage reactions.

"We live in a fat-phobic world," she said at a past summit. She noted that despite struggles with addiction in the past, most criticism focused on her weight. "I got more [criticism] for being fat than I did for anything else," she said.

She also recalled the cutting remarks people would make to her face. "You're so pretty. Why don't you just lose a little bit of weight," she said people would tell her.

Over the years, Kelly has remained open about her weight-loss journey. In 2020, she revealed that she underwent gastric sleeve surgery, describing it not as an easy shortcut but as one step in a much longer, more demanding process.

"If you don't work out and you don't eat right, you gain weight," she explained, making clear that the procedure still required lasting lifestyle changes. She has also addressed rumors about weight-loss drugs. Kelly previously said she did not use Ozempic, though she noted that her mother had.

Her body has also changed because of pregnancy. After welcoming her son, she said she gained 100 pounds and later changed her diet due to gestational diabetes.
