Husband crashes while rushing pregnant wife to hospital. A nurse soon arrived
Several people have admitted that their physical and mental skills are not that good when they are nervous.
Hongwei Zhang and his wife, Ying Shi, a couple from California, know it firsthand. Shi, who was nine months pregnant, woke up at 3 a.m. to tell her husband that it was time for them to go to the hospital to deliver the baby.
According to God Updates, things got out of control when a nervous and excited Zhang took a turn too wide when exiting the Interstate and couldn’t control the car, that crashed into a concrete barrier.
Thanks to the airbags in the vehicle, the couple wasn’t hurt. Shi’s door was shut tight and she couldn’t open it, so Zhang opened it for her.

When he did so, he noticed that her wife was not pregnant anymore as the baby girl had arrived and was between her mother’s legs. He immediately went to the road and asked for help to the first car he saw.
As an angel sent from God, the woman who parked by and helped the couple was Dayna Dumont, a nurse who was returning home from her shift at the hospital, which happened to be the same place the couple was driving to.
Even though Dumont had never welcomed a baby since she works in the emergency department, her medical skills were much appreciated by the couple who couldn’t believe their eyes.

She pointed out that she didn’t really think that the baby had arrived as Shi was sitting in the car calmly. As Dumont asked her if she was feeling any pain or discomfort, Shi kept saying that she was fine and never stopped asking for the baby.
While both women were checking on the baby, Zhang contacted 911 but was so nervous that he couldn’t provide the exact location. Dumont again helped him and took over the call.
The emergency responders arrived and everything went smoothly after that: they cut the umbilical cord and took them to the nearest hospital. The baby was healthy and the family cannot stop thanking God and Dumont for such a miracle.
